Why the aggressive tone? The poster only asked a question!

While no doubt the poster had an axe to grind given the way they phrased their question I would be interested to know if a physical trauma patient who had a mild COVID infection would be counted as a COVID ICU patient. Anyone who dies of physical injury but tests positive for COVID would not be counted as a COVID death, but I wouldn't be completely certain that this also applies to live hospital patients stats tbh.

Independent reporting Dublin will be on level 2 with some changes

"Restrictions on the number of people permitted to visit a household will also be introduced in Dublin.

However, the county will not be moved into level three restrictions under the Government’s new plan for living with Covid-19.

Instead, Dubliners will be given another week to reduce the spread of the coronavirus before any further restrictions are implemented."

Just on that, I presume the cases are assigned to the address of the testee and not the location of the test centre.

My sister lives in rathnew and has a test in ringsend tomorrow?
    Makes no sense

One week to aavoid the below:

'Under level three of the new plan people will be asked to stay in the regions and restaurants would be only able to take away or delivery of food'

Amazing how scared they are to impose any meaningful restrictions on Dublin.. The limited house numbers won't make a difference, the people having big party's won't care about it

Lol plenty of new 'restaurants' to choose from with a €9 take out frozen pizza.

Had my Covid test at 18.05 yesterday outside St Vincent's Hospital, just this second got text message to say it's Negative! Hooooray!

Feeling so much improved on how terribly sick I've been last week. It must gave been a particularly nasty & unusual bacterial infection to have stuck nasopharyngeal, joints, chest, pleura, but yet it has been fully responsive to amoxicillin. Can now safely have a little investigation & ENT or whatever referral might be advised.

And can go out & about! :):):)

Thats a general line regarding level 3 but as we're seeing things in each level are fluid.

Dublin to remain in level 2 with parts of level 3.

What does stay in the region's mean?

Will commuting to work in Dublin be a no no?

What a shambles, day 1 and they are already blurring the lines. If there are 5 phases then don’t complicate it, if there is a mix between 2 & 3 then it’s really 2.5 so have a 10 point plan.

Its a general statement as to what's in level 3.

As other reports say tonight those sort of measures (travel restrictions) aren't being considered.

And no commuting to work is classified as essential travel it would be allowed regardless

Not with their doors closed there wouldn't be under that restriction

Even people started taking it seriously form tomorrow, a week isn’t long enough to see any reduction in cases

    Dublin pubs staying closed

That was mentioned earlier on while other counties might see pubs open next week.

That won't work. There will be pub tourism. People from Dublin going to other counties for boozing.

Rte news saying that cases will be 5000 per day by end of October if we continue at same rate of increase.

Currently 1000+ cases per week jumping to 35,000(5000 per day).

    Sam McConkey saying the same.
    https://twitter.com/SamuelMcConkey1/status/1305579552966676482?s=19

If the R0 is 1.5 and each person is infectious for a week:

    1000 cases week 1
    1500 week 2
    2250 week 3
    3375 week 4
    5000 week 5
7500 cases week 6 (end october)

So more likely to be 7500 cases a week by end of October in Dublin on current trends. Or about 1100 cases a day. Still serious. But McConkey's maths seems to be off.

Even if you have the same capacity to work from home? It would seem an unnecessary risk

Work from home where possible is the statement. Commuting to work is allowed though as its essential

So you mean Dublin South East and North West to level 3 and areas like Dublin South to go Level 2 with rest of country?

For a different perspective on what McConkey said see below.

Thanks for confirming. Mcconkey probably went a bit mad with his ‘formula’ . Happens the best of us :)

Taxi, bus, train. If the 11.30 closing is enforced, it means you can make last bus.......

    ...the plandemic cohort

So anyone that doesn't agree that 4/29,000,000 is of any significance is a 'plandemic' conspiracy theorist?

    Riigght..

Why are RTE allowed in? They were a cluster in their own right back in the day.

No, level 2 with some measures from level 3.

Its already muddying the waters of this plan. As someone else said its like a level 2.5

This is just stupidity at a level only FF could be capable of. Watch now as Dublin empties at the weekend in search of the pubs that are open, thus increasing the spread around the country.

    Riigght..

    Of course not.
    What’s 4 divided by 29000000000?

It started out as it’s not airborne.
    Masks don’t work.

    Now it’s airborne
    Masks work
Kids don’t transmit it because we need them in school.
Kids do bring it to school but definitely don’t get it in school (yet)

    Reinfection is not possible.
    It’s possible but it’s mild.
    It’s possible but it’s rare.

    Etc etc. It’s getting boring.

    The fear is unreal.

    Go back to your cave.

Here's an example of an expert talking out of school.
I call a plumber when.I have an issue with my drain not an electrician.

I'd ask an infectious disease expert not an immunologist when faced with controlling infection.
