Can anyone stop Arsenal this year? Over before it started.

Their big weakness last season was from the sideline, I think itll undoubtedly be the same this season. Sub 20 points I wouldnt be surprised

Lack of quality, lack of Premier league experience, too much reliance on the goals of Mitrovic.
    Too open style of play.
Agreed, 20 points could be a challenge.
Unless they bring in 3-4 quality players before the window shuts.

    Gonna be a long season.

Be grand. We don't have to beat Arsenal. Just have to beat 3 of the other ****e teams.

You'll need more than 18 points if you want to stay up :pac:

It would be nice for the first day of the season oif there were 6 or 7 games at least, starting at 3 o clock.

The two postponed games would probably shift a couple more of the fixtures to Saturday 3.00 pm

Pleased for Gabriel getting off to a good start. Willian looks a contender for signing of the season.

Ah here only 2 teams have played a game yet and there's still a month of transfer window to go

Signing of the season after 1 game against the mighty Fulham?

My two most hated teams playing next. Hope Leeds go straight back down with a record low points total. However I would prefer they win today before it all comes crashing down.

All joking aside that was a great great from Ings shot to give Palace all 3 points..

It's hardly a knee-jerk take. He has been one of the standout players in his position this calendar year and Arsenal got him for free. Of course that's superb business on Arsenal's part.

Pleased to see Sir Roy Hodgson starting off the campaign well.

I've no idea what this new rule is. His arm didn't move towards the ball and where in a natural postion. Do you have to tuck them behind your back now?

That's a great goal from Leeds. Gonna be loads in this

Gomez all over the shop for Liverpool

Never in doubt. Le Champions cruise to victory with the best Egyptian African player in the league leading the way.

That was entertaining anyway. Having no pre-season is a farce and I miss crowds.

Games now wont be half as entertaining as that

Unlucky for Leeds in the end, had more of the ball and Liverpool created practically nothing from open play just got done by set pieces. Something he will need to learn from in this league but plenty of positives to take for sure especially considering they were playing the greatest team of all time, away from home, were missing players and had new signings who presumably met each other and the team this morning (obvs a joke, I'm sure they met Thursday or Friday)

Leeds will hardly have a weaker centre half pairing this season, a newcomer and a player who has had 5 games in 2.5 years.

Can someone clarify this new handball rule? I was wondering why I was seeing it last season but does it always have to be like this now?

To be fair in the second half Giní and Firmino both missed from 3 to 4 yards out

Leeds second goal was also an absolute gift from VVD

Wijnaldum did look at the races for sure and I'm not sure I've ever seen firmino play that badly no. Salah pretty much carried the threat alone today, best he's looked in a long time too tbf to him.

VVD had a shocker for that goal alright but Gomez was even worse all game, clueless out there.
