If you separate the man from his position then Michael D Higgins should be, as were the two Marys before him.

He was sound back in the day. Got notions after buying in Clontarf, hanging around the Cricket Club, even dropped the Munster accent for some put on D4 nonsense.
Same old story with country people done good in the big smoke.

Think Robbo's done a fair bit to tarnish her impressive legacy.

    Christy Moore

Dunno if you read my post yest but Christy Moore still has a bad name in my area of Kildare due to past behaviour on the drink.

ppl say he was a NIGHTMARE when he was drinking - angry foul mouthed ignorant type. Ppl in Kildare where I am located have a long memory of his boorish behaviour.

Well done on finding an almost uniquely universally despised individual.

I’d like to second Michael along with my two proposals

Mick Lally (Miley Byrne from Glenroe)

Brendan Grace (best Irish comedian ever)

Second that on Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, Imelda May and John Sheehan.

Has anyone mentioned Paddy Moloney, the late Derek Bell, and any/all of the Chieftains?

Oh yes we are all racists and how dare we oppose uncontrolled migration? That Imelda Mae? Talentless Bint.

Paddy Molony is a good call

Fantastic musician too on top of being a gent

Luke Kelly also but he’s not universally loved going by the vandalism on his statue

Yeah, they're forever inviting talentless people to perform at the Grammys

I'm sure you've probably been invited yourself once or twice Scooter?

Packie Bonnar. Never heard anything bad about him.

    Larry Gogan.

    Katie Taylor

    Maybe Bill O Herlihy.

My favourite but not sure what others think Brendan Grace

He whipped all my uncles best jokes and forgot where he came from. Nough said.

Touched a nerve there? Got a little crush on her there?
I myself am not a musician.
Thinking you can score woke points for calling Irish people racists is a bit much

    Ask his manager

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,925 ✭✭✭✭Thelonious Monk

Just saw this thread but I can't stand Michael McWhateverthef*ck. Saw him on the Late Late once and he came across as a sanctimonious prick going on about how he never tasted alcohol etc. Has a priestly vibe about him. Also his voice/accent would make my blood curdle.
I really really loved Dave Allen.

I spoke negatively about Imelda in this thread and I’m not a fan, but now you’ve forced me defend her :) she certainly is not a talentless bint

Irish people seem to hate when Irish people have a nice life in the sun
