List of acid/alkaline foods

    Could anyone point me in the direction of a definitive list of acid/alkaline forming foods please?
    There's so much contradiction in the stuff I read, the last 2 articles I read said lentils were acid forming in one article and in another article it said they were the only legume that was alkaline.
    Very confusing. :confused:

    Are you looking for foods that cause acid reflux as in heartburn?

    No easy answer. Mainly because of combining foods (in my experience) can have an effect on reflux. As always it’s about balance.

    I find this good as a starter but each person’s experience is difference.

    Dairy as highly acidic seems counterintuitive no? And lemon/lime/grapefruit the other way too...

    I take it this is for a type of diet as opposed to acid reflux or heartburn control or something?

    A PH of a food before consumed is irrelevant. What is relevant is how it reacts once ingested. You are correct that considering dairy acidic is counterintuitive. But ph of milk is acidic and once in body even more so. Dairy exacerbates acid reflux. All in link shown. Main reason is because it contains lactic acid.

    As with every diet, all to do with balance.
