I thought the poster was a teacher in Vietnam.
I'm just wondering how people abroad can comment on whether people in Ireland are following the rules

There have been many technological advancements over the past few decades.

Not sure what that nonsense has to do with anything.

I find it more distrubing that people that don't live here are repeatedly calling for a lockdown.

What's up in Donegal? Seems very high, doesn't it?

Large cluster within the Roma community in Letterkenny. A couple of car washes in the town have closed that were ran by members of that community. A mobile testing unit was outside an accomodation were a lot of them were living a couple of days ago and conducted a number of tests.

From what I hear a lot of them living together so not ideal as it'll spread easily among them. Fingers crossed they all recover and it is contained.

RTE covering now that there may be school bus shortages to comply with social distancing.

Why is social distancing a requirement on buses but not on planes?

Different air filtration / air conditioning systems, I'm guessing?

I've friends and family I'd like to keep safe, I'd also like to return soon but I'm petrified that it will like a scene from the walking dead if it gets much worse.

Don't worry, it won't be. Even when we had people dying at a rate higher than 0 in 7 days, it still wasn't anything like a fictional zombie tv show.

My advice to you is stop watching the Walking Dead, it’s a fictional series it’s not real.

Interestingly though the worldometer graphs deaths/cases seem to have peaked and showing signs of falling but i’m sure there’s a cohort that will be along shortly to do their best and pull something out of their asses to come up with an excuse as to why.

We will know in two months. I have an open mind. You have to with this virus.

    Soon,
We will pick up from where we left off,
    Below the sky sipping wine.
    Thinking about everyday, every moment.
    Social distancing cannot separate us,
We are just taking a break from all the fuss,
We will come back as better people and pick up where we left off, together.

What’s safer though, about 20 mins on a school bus or 1 hour minimum (for the shortest journeys) in a plane?

20 mins would be probably well below the average school bus trip. Could be well over an hour depending on the route.

Thats why I used to cycle home from sec school. Home at 4pm instead of 5pm on the bus(included a mile walk from main rd).

In fact they had huge half-hidden problems with violent immigrants, rape, terrorist attacks in the last few years but the politically correct chose to turn a blind eye.

Now that they pursue a policy that runs counter to liberal populism, and possibly endangers its credibility, you have Guardian writers declaring Sweden the worst country in the world, a pariah etc. Laughable.

In general Scandanavia's contributions to the world are overrated but the sulking about a refusal to lock-down has nothing to do with that.

And is that not what people are doing? I know of house parties that were meant to go ahead for birthdays this week being cancelled because of the new rules.

    That's good news

Nothing like 6,000 deaths in a short space of time to U-turn on that.

Considering that the following European countries UK, Belgium, Italy, Spain.have more deaths per million of population i am at a loss to understand the constant extreme criticism of Sweden.

RTE covering now that there may be school bus shortages to comply with social distancing.

Why is social distancing a requirement on buses but not on planes?

Aircraft have much more advanced air systems owing to the fact they have to be pressurised, the air on aircraft is changed and replaced every 3 minutes, and the air flows are verticle from ceiling to floor which reduces the possibility of spread forward and back.

Buses and trains on the other hand don't have the same rate of air change, or the same designed flow of air from top to bottom to prevent spread.

I've friends and family I'd like to keep safe, I'd also like to return soon but I'm petrified that it will like a scene from the walking dead if it gets much worse.

Lol, why would you think that's even a possibility? Has anywhere , even the hardest hit areas, degenerated into walking dead scenarios? Not that I'm aware of. I think you're letting anxiety get the better of you. A virus with a 99%+ survival rate really isn't an apocalyptic event.

I have never extremely criticized any of those countries constantly.

I have criticized them all sporadically.

Do you think if the likes of Spain followed the same road as Sweden they would have had less deaths?

No that would be nonsense, you have to compare like with like.

How do Sweden compare with other Nordic countries?

    Spoiler: Not very well

I've read through the various mainstream media reporting of today's figures and not one of them have mentioned that we now have had no notified deaths from Covid in a week

    Absolutely disgraceful reporting.

Jesus Donald, apply more tan and breath into the bag.
