I read the book most mornings. It's God's message to us. It warns us about this world and I trust it is from God.

I find the idea that Trump is Jesus' champion on earth to be very funny. I'm imagining Jesus up in the clouds nodding approvingly at every tweet, every rant at a rally, every sexual assault, every extramarital affair with a porn star.

The priest in the church himself said that the protests were peaceful until Trump's goon squad arrived. The Bishop condemned the how the Police and Trump behaved. So portraying the protesters as the bad guys doesn't match with what the reality.

Comical. In reality the conservative Christians in the US would have absolutely hated Jesus and his message if he were here now. Jesus the historical figure stood up for the poor and weak of society. He espoused a non material lifestyle and was against the greed of wealth. American conservatives absolutely hate that message and would have undoubtedly dismissed the historical Jesus as a socialist agitator.

Also, it's pretty a damming reflection that an incumbent is struggling to be a favourite with bookies. Meanwhile the actual polling hasn't shifted in any dramatic way. Believe it'll be tight and this is very much so one of the most important elections in US history. If he gets reelected, it'll be a disaster for them socially. If he doesn't, then it's a question of if they can recover from him.

Signed order's for free speech and religious liberty, rescinded Obama's plans for transgender bathrooms, allowed religious schools to participate in scholarship programs, conscience protections for health care entities and staff, creation international religious freedom fund, restrictions on fetal tissue for research, blocked funding to organisations promoting abortion, removed hidden abortion charges from Obamacare, order's to defend publicly displayed crosses, funding to religious sites attacked by vandals, removing requirements for faith based groups to accept same sex marriage, guidance for protected prayer in schools, statements gender identity is harmful to women sports, support for pro life bills, etc...

Indeed

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
