Sushi rice should be warm when served, the same temperature as the hand it's made in.

Ugh, visions of someone's warm sweaty hands all over my food. That's another strike against sushi.

Don't like red, brown, burger sauce. Mayo or coleslaw

    Do like most other things

    Weird I know

Not a fan of relish, mince pie filling or anything that looks and smells like a stinky mess.

Hate the mayo that smells of vinegar, I don't mind the yellow continental mayo as it doesn't whiff of it.

Don't like that bright orange carrot/Turnip puree ****e that you get in hotels either. Reminds me of baby food.

How do you think food is prepared professionally? When you order steak the chef has to press it to see how cooked it is. Sushi would be made wearing gloves though.

Tripe is definitely the worst. It actually scares me it's so disgusting looking, like some dreadful organism you'd see on Dr. Who.

Most offal is pretty disturbing to.....liver (which I like) hearts, kidneys, brains give me the shivers.

Used to hate the look of oysters but now they don't bother me as I'm pretty much addicted to them and could probably down 30 of them no problem.

I hate tripe on every level. The look, taste, texture and smell, when it's cooking it smells like the mankiest dish cloth being boiled to the bejasus.
At least the stuff here is white, I think it's bleached. I've seen stuff on the continent that's grey, that really gets my juices flowing, mmmm NOT!

Yes, any kind of a salad here and guaranteed there's a huge, awful unwanted splodge of coleslaw dumped on the plate. It's like some unwritten rule that this mess should always be present.

I was once like you but then I learned that it's wrong to dislike Sushi...wrong I tells ya!
My opinion changed when my Polish friend made deep fried sushi one evening. To be fair, that kind of defies the law of sushi but it was delicious. I totally get why you wouldn't like it but would you maybe try avacado sushi or some vegetable you like? I find it fun eating sushi cos of all the condiments...I love a good condiment (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Unless someone was holding a gun to my head I really don't think I could eat it, condiments or no.

Who says their hands are sweaty? They obviously wash them regularly or it wouldn't be safe.

Washed hands are fine when making sushi.

That Japanese bean stuff that is actually fermented cold, stale beans, until the slime runs off them in long silvery strings.
Seen it on YouTube, turned pale.
    I'll try most things, but...

PS I hear from those who have tried it, that it tastes even worse than it looks.

Cockles, mussels, winkles - basically anything that looks like snails. But mostly tongue. Thankfully you don't see it as much now. It makes my stomach turn over. Yuck.

I used to revolt at the smell and taste of Skips, the crisps.

Vowed never to touch prawn in my lifetime as a result but have since developed a liking for them in seafood/asian dishes.

    Still can't stand Skips though.

It was just the description of hand-temperature rice that was off putting. I’m well aware that my food is handled during preparation but most of it doesn’t have the temperature affected by the amount of handling, one would think.

    Turnip.
    Coleslaw.
    Vinegar.
    Ketchup.
    Beetroot.
    Cranberry sauce with turkey, gawk.
    Brown sauce.
    Pickled things

Can agree with almost* all of this. I hate most condiments out there.
I'm ok with gravy, pepper sauce and curry - they're fine.
Hot sauces made with chilli peppers (like for buffalo wings) are ok for me too.

But anything that's too tomatoey or too eggy just puts me right off. :(

*I don't object to cranberry sauce too much, it wouldn't be my first choice but at least it is mostly just fruit. I'm not generally a fan of vinegar by itself but I like salt and vinegar crisps!

So basically anything sharp or tart?

Can't speak for the other poster but it's not so much about that for me. I generally like citrus tastes, for example, and I don't mind tart berries or cherries. So it's not sharpness itself that's the problem.

On the subject of texture, one food I struggle to eat in that regard is mushrooms. I've no problem with the taste, I quite like mushroom soup for example. But the slimy, rubbery texture is really off-putting.

I like coleslaw but I can see why some people mightn't like the look of it.

testicles and or eyes...sheep, cow or otherwise.

Apparently they are delicacies in some cultures, but that's where I would draw my line optically.

Other than that it's a matter of taste really.

    (not particularly fond of celery)
