Economics 101 - tax breaks to the most productive areas of the economy increases productivity and creates more jobs.

This means the government doesn't have to create more pointless jobs in the civil service in order to employ people.

There are 4 of these "Predictors" around that have been accurate almost all of the time and who all called it for Trump in 2016.

This time around, two of them are predicting a Biden win, a third is not giving a prediction saying that their model doesn't really work given Covid etc. and then there is Norpoth.

The Norpoth model is based explicitly on "enthusiasm" in the Primaries. So on the basis that turnout and win % was higher for Trump than Biden he gives the nod to Trump.

His prediction was made in January and he refuses to update it to account for all that has happened since.

Norpoth doesn't think that the deaths of 175,000 people and counting since he made his prediction is really relevant.

So, despite his previous accuracy I'm not really putting a whole lot of faith in a model that ignores the most significant Global event in decades.

Its not really about Trump vs Biden. They are both imperfect men. Rather, its a problem of leftist values vs the free market. Clearly the free market is by far a superior ideology. It does occasionally need some socialist input/ agitation..but left to its own devices it makes life better for everyone, once they are prepared to do their bit.

Over the past 10/15 years, there has been too much leftist deterioration in America which has been exported to the rest of the world. This has partly been manifested by the likes of Antifa/ BLM. It may also have resulted in Trump being elected, who at the time was an inexperienced candidate, ordinarily this would have discounted any appeal. That speaks to how much the Democrats had deteriorated. But look at him now. Hes up to speed, thick skinned, dealing with attackers on multiple fronts and doing a great job.

On the basis of leftist vs free market/ traditional American values, its very important Trump and the republicans get re-elected - for sake of the US and the rest of the world, especially here in Ireland.

Otherwise the nihilistic rot of leftism will continue to gather pace, IMHO.

He also bailed out US farmers to the tune of billions of dollars as a result of his disastrous trade war with China (basically the antithesis of a free market approach). He forced General Motors to produce ventilators by taking control of their means of production....how communist of him. Not to mention sending welfare cheques out to pretty much every household in the country. It seems Trumpists don't really pay much attention to the stuff he actually has done.

I really think he's a great guy and part of your dislike of him is a result of the propoganda of the mainstream media. He's not perfect but certainly charming
