They won't get any votes from low income workers either so wee niche party with half a dozen ex teachers isn't exactly going to change the world .

You reckon those are voting at all?

Honestly, what's the point so. No point getting pissed off at Golfgate if you think there's no alternative. You're stuck with it. Live with it.

Two geriatrics and a few trust fund champagne socialists is something new, Stick to local authorities or school boards if those are the best you can offer, All politicians should be put out to pasture at 60, no exceptions.

It's only a matter of time before this poor excuse of a government is put out of its misery.....it's obvious that there is a lot of people out there who don't want FF in power....we've had barry Cowen....now we've had calleary.....not including how they are handling the covid 19 pandemic......it won't be long before someone or something else about FF is revealed......

Wonder what the next scandal will be. FF have housing, education and health ministries so there’s quite a few possibilities. I suspect something disastrous will happen soon regarding hospitals and/or schools but maybe one of the FF ministers or TDs will surprise us with something scandalous first.

The schools was always going to be a **** show - FF needed to buy themselves credit in advance of the schools reopening - they have not done so

    Phil Hogan apologises.

Any one else reckon that was all choreographed to shore up Michael?

Oh I have no doubt that they’re going to **** things up with the schools. The way things are going though, there’s a distinct possibility that they’ll **** something else up first.

Good. Hogan as EU Trade Commissioner is extremely important for Ireland.

I ran away from nothing Brendi but you repeating yourself. You, as usual heard a different interview to me. I heard Regina trying to recover from the barbed comment from the interviewer...'you sound like you are on the opposition'.

Very few will buy that one Brendi come the day of reckoning. You (FG FF GRs) are all in it together.

And I meant senior PARTY member Phil Hogan. He works for Ireland in the EU and is a member of FG.

Incorrect again Francie...... he works for the EU.

Having a bad day today Francie.

You didn’t answer the question ..

    I’ll repeat it

Wrong is wrong ..... do you expect Reggie to try to defend something that is wrong.

Polishing the head of the pin here.

So he can do what ever he wants?

I hope the very neat explanation of how he fulfilled his quarantine obligations check out because he could end up embarrassing not only FG (he done that already) but Ireland.

What he did was stupid, but in the greater scheme of things, Hogan remaining in situ is much more important for Ireland.

I have had to tell so many people this through Brexit...WE are the EU Brendi.

I'll remember that excuse next time a non FGer gets in bother.

    Unfortunately, yes there is.

There's a random Journal.ie comments section comment generator - I'm sure some of you have seem this?

I was suggesting to a mate of mine earlier that there should be a random FF idiotic scandal generator.

'Michael McGrath has been forcing meat factory workers to double job as nurses in nursing homes'
'Norma Foley is flying in Texans to work as teachers in the Irish education system'

    It could be great fun

Heh heh indeed Francie.... we are in the EU Francie, we don’t run it.

People are appointed and elected to run it Francie.

    I’ll have another go

Wrong is wrong....do you expect Reggie to defend wrongdoing.

    Very simple Francie.......man up

Good man MM quick and decisive

Didn’t make the mistake Leo did around Maria Bailey....

Only problem is it was a very weak non-apology issued through a spokesperson. Apologising for any distress caused is nonsense and implies the person unhappy with his actions is the issue.

Not my point Brendi...stop repeating yourself.
Regina was so fervent in her criticism of FF specifically when this was a government **** up, that the interviewer was prompted to inform her that her party was not the opposition.

Take it up with the interviewer if that offends your pride in Regina. We're done on this one.

Or the same mistake he made with Barry Cowen?

I mean, this post from Shef is the height of disingenuousness. How can you possibly discuss or debate anything with that as the level of interaction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,971 ✭✭✭Morrison J

Can't disagree with the words but this literally reads like it's coming from a member of the opposition. Completely bizarre. Finding FG's tactical comments extremely grating tbh. Really trying to play up the good guys image when they're part of a crumbling, inept government themselves.

Im sure if I had no time you and the rest had plenty of post about MM lack of action on Cowan. Then last year similar posts on lack of action from Leo on Madigan/Bailey etc

MM comes out quickly and is get rid of guys. Closes down story and moves on and your still complaining. Hillarious. Complaining for the sake of complaining.

Yes, that's exactly what's going on here. Ridiculous.

"Closes down story" he says. It'll be "gone by the weekend" he says. "Nothing to see here" he says.
