As I already mentioned you don’t debate. You haven’t asked a question just thrown around your usual accusations when you start “drowning”

Next we will have Commemts about popcorn

If you make a comment about pandering then back it up, who is the government pandering to? Or if it’d BS then admit it and move on

    How's them apples man?

Outside of the clusters in meat plants etc it seems that most of the new infections are among younger age group

this could indicate that following the easing of restrictions a few weeks ago people started to socialise and mix more and of course, Covid rates go up

apparently there are lots of cases around the country of pubs being busy this is a huge risk

What do we do, we restrict sports transport etc but extend the pub and restaurant opening hours

    Fianna Fail welcome back

Our extremely competent government has one department briefing media and releasing statements saying cinema museums etc can continue as normal and is then directly saying the opposite and that the limit of 6 applies. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing.

I said the message was clear and that people didnt want to hear it. Which is 100% true. So far you have spent the day scrambling around trying to find anything to post in pure desperation

If you remember on my very first post this morning I said I didnt agree with the new lockdowns. So why would I frantically wave anything?

So far, I have asked you and 4-5 of the other regulars for an alternative. Not a single one of you came up with one. Then you accuse me of drowning?

If you want to use that analogy, you drown this morning, they have pulled you out, brought you to the hospital, pronnounced you dead and your now at your wake :P

Yes because FF/FG/green are in a big conspiracy with the Dept of Arts.....

Maybe they are hiding all the crayons from Sinn Fein?

They are not allowed crayons, because they keep taking the whole box and bringing them home to use on their homework.

You're accusing away on other threads. How about meat plants. Infected half the country and now been asked nicely to play along lol. What a farce!

Yes, the Sinn Fein solution is to shut the meat factories and starve the peasants so that they rise up in revolt against the FF/FG overlords?

The balance between health and safety on the one hand, feeding people on the other and not destroying the economy on another, is difficult to maintain. Those on the outside like Sinn Fein presenting simplistic solutions without considering that balance, probably reflect more the simple level of their thinking rather than anything else.

So the fact that the roll out of these regulations has been chaotic and confused and has caused an avalanche of complaint and has probably damaged irreparably the cohesiveness of our defence against the virus -i.e. public support, is countered with 'look at the shinners'????

    Wow. Says it all really.

To be fair meat is an essential source of food. If there was an outbreak among supermarket staff or fruit and veg importers or something they'd find a way around it. The meat industry is no different.

Although that twitter user you linked to ticks all the other boxes on that usual stereotype, Id imagine she cares little for the meat plants ever being open, which is the usual type of people who've been calling for their shutdown

Who said look at the Shinners?

If you can't understand a joke about the current government hiding crayons on SF I am just amazed. Wow is right, WOW

We need a barman dancing on a bar giving out pours to people dancing around him to feed ourselves? Maybe the barman was on essential business which we all know is immune to Covid number 19.
Are we to take NPHET as a series of suggestions now? Conflicting make it up as you go government advice.
If the meat plants paid for PPE and quarantined people who came from abroad we might be faring better.
Washing your hands and wearing a mask, couldn't be simpler.
    Go on, sinn fein something...

Now we have someone who thinks barmen work in meat factories. That is about the only thing I can understand from your post.

    I wasn't being funny.

The post was a mish-mash of various complaints without making a coherent point or suggesting a reasonable alternative. I seriously couldn't understand what you were trying to say, other than I am sure in there somehow Leo is to blame.

Not so sure......do you have anything to back that up? or will we get another vague tweet from some random SF nutcase?

Whats your alternative Bowie? think I have asked you a few times......we are all open to suggestions. I have asked all of you now and not a single response.

The alternative is a competent government. From the start this hasn't been one.

Given you have all the answers, and seeing as any answer from anyone else isn't up to snuff in your opinion, perhaps you can tell us what you'd do.

Do you think the government have handled the last couple of weeks well?

If not, what would you do different?

The government are using NPHET as a suggestion.
The meat plants never supplied PPE or quarantine workers coming from abroad. Why wasn't this being policed?
The bar with the barman on the bar dancing pouring out shots to numerous individuals unlikely to even be fined.
FF/FG/Greens are treating Covid number 19 like Lemony Snicket's A series of unfortunate events.
    That clear enough?

Socially distance. Wear masks. Supply PPE to staff. Close or penalise any business flouting rules.

    What?

We know you want me to say SF would do better. But I don't know that anymore than anyone else.

What I do know is that this government has been in chaos since the start and that needs to change or the government needs to be changed by the people for whomsoever they decide.

    No, it isn't clear enough.

This latest post is a series of descriptions of unconnected events, unsubstantiated allegations, silly jokes and random solutions unrelated to the rest of the post without any logical correlation. Pretty much like the child's book you mention.

I think having the Fianna Fail ministers in government has lowered the quality of decision-making. If it was FG/Greens with a few independents, things would have been much better.

Bet you wont have an answer to that. ShefWed is nothing but a WUM who is getting their kicks behaving like this. It's easy for this person to pontificate from his high horse.

Its clear you are only here to run distraction.
You are happy that the government are not following NPHET closely? Do you think things are being handled well in a clear manner?
