yeah i was thinking along the same lines but then again they did hold exams this month in the Red Cow, or were these online?

They weren't in the Red Cow, they were in Croke Park and the RDS. The numbers doing them would have been a lot smaller than a normal FE1 sitting though.

    - Get an up to date grid and decide what topics you want/feel that are important to study. It's not the broadest course so you may be able to study more topics than other courses.
    - Get a copy of the exam papers and examiner's reports. The examiner makes very good points in the reports as to where students failed/lost marks.
    - I did the questions together by subject after studying the topics e.g. did all mistake together. Then I looked at the examiner's reports and saw where the problems where and made a note of them. I would definitely recommend doing this.
    - I would definitely advise knowing the consumer protection area particularly well. - Some areas like offer and acceptance where people think they know the area well can end up being more difficult/easier to fall down on in my opinion.
    - You are allowed to bring certain legislation in with you. You can check out with the Law Society what you can bring in and I would definitely try and order/arrange it sooner rather than later.

Good luck! Above is just based on my experience.

If it not safe for fans to attend an outdoor sporting event, how on earth is it safe to bring hundreds of students for all over to country to Dublin and Cork for exams. They should be held online.

The restrictions would be imposed until 13 September. Next sittings are in October. And its already receiving significant pushback anyways thanks God.

It's about time NPHET received some significant criticism. They're on a complete power trip

Just received an email from the Law Soc offering an online exam of EU and Tort next week as I'm from one of last weeks "forbidden counties". Anyone else in the same position and unsure of what to do? Feel unprepared now after a full week of feeling sorry for myself...

Kildare, Laois and Offaly students who weren't able to attend the sittings last week will get to sit them online next week. Email just came through

Great to hear that an online exam was always an option, they just chose not to use that option last week and had us all gather together instead

It was perfectly safe. All the precautions were taken and social distancing was maintained.

Knowing the government, that Sep 13th is only provisional. If the cases remain the same then they won't lift restrictions, just like they didn't move to phase 4 (?) to open pubs etc.

It would just be more secure to start planning to do them online rather than waiting and hoping they are allowed to have 50 people in a room.

Only until September 13 if numbers falls and they are not going to fall with one million children heading back to overcrowded, poorly ventilated rooms in the next few weeks.

I agree! Perfectly safe! A mask for 3 hours was a bit uncomfortable but I felt fine other than that!

That’s true! Would just be great if people started listening rather than think they’re invincible! We’d all be fine then. Another 190 cases today is a joke like! Things like that bar in Dublin the weekend, the party in Kilkee, and the party below in West Cork is just reckless!

How will an online exam work? Just have the notes in front of you like? Surely it's an unfair advantage?

They can't do that. Literally may aswell just pass them because they live in one of those three counties then.

Hopefully common sense will prevail when the government finally realises we have next to zero deaths nearly every day for the past few weeks and focus on a strategy that's sustainable in the long-run rather than heavy-handed and draconian restrictions that might end up doing more damage with the thousands of businesses being crushed and a substantial portion of the working population losing their jobs and livelihoods.

It's a joke. Nobody thinks they're doing the same paper.

What does this “remote invigilation” involve?

You're essentially "locked in to the exam" on your computer, webcam and mic on and an invigaltor per "room" who watches candidates etc
