Shouldn't be too hard for you to quote some posts then.. So lets see the posts where people state they enjoy wearing them.

Great. Quote one post that gives you this impression.

In shops some people are putting on masks but neglecting other important covid practices e.g. using hand sanetiser, keeping 2m apart etc.
There was a time when 90%+ would use the the hand sanetiser going into shops but that seems to be much less now. Thats my impression anyway.
People are too busy foostering with their mask as they walk in the door.

Dunno. I've noticed the non mask wearers are just as likely to breeze past the hand sanitiser as anybody else. I don't know if they're more or less likely than the mask wearers.

I scrolled back to 9PM last night and can't see it. How far back do I have to go? I see you said a posters name, without any post. But it must be easy to find the posts that show somebody "delighting" in wearing a mask.

For clarity one more time, as clearly we haven't seen it.

Mandatory mask wearing as is now leads to people just fulfilling a requirement and leads to mass improper use and care/storage of said masks.

Let those that want to wear a mask wear one as was the case when the country had peak community transmission but mandatory is a step too far.

To see people in shops working all day long wearing a mask behind a perspex screen its a sad sight that the fear factor created by this virus has led us to believe this is life.

It’s unnecessary and definitely not sustainable.

Its like the county lockdown scenario. Their doing it so we must do it too

Precisely, the requirement being to minimise the risk of you spreading the virus.. simples.

The amount of whinging over being asked to do such a simple thing, is genuinely mind boggling and equally pathetic.

There are a fair few in mine. I've noticed about 5 - 10% in shops near me.

Italy shuts nightclubs and makes mask wearing mandatory outdoors "where groups are likely to form" - seems to be aimed at outdoor discos and groups of young people meeting up from different households.

Maybe the mask is blocking your vision

It’s not pathetic.since the mask nazis won the rate has went up.the use off the hand sanitizers has fallen away.hope to live to see the day when the pro mask crowd are proven wrong

or (and this is the more likely explanation) nobody actually said it which would also explain why you can't post a link to any such claims.

I can't say I've noticed any less use of hand sanitisers.

The only time it's actually mentioned is when someone is bleating on about not wanting to wear a mask.

You actually think the rate has gone up, due to mask wearing?! Jesus wept..

Would the rate increase not be more likely due to us having moved out of lockdown

Give it a rest will you. There's clearly no post from anyone saying they enjoyed wearing a mask, if there was, you would have quoted it by now.

But then another difference between mine & your experience is that most of the people I've seen who do wear the masks are wearing them before they go into the shops. So we don't have the foostering bit. I pop mine on in the car and don't touch it until I come back out, am in the car and sanitise my hands. It seemed like common sense to me.

Still waiting on your quote showing people enjoying wearing masks or were you just posting ****e (surprise surprise)

And I see your problem now, you're not meant to wear them over your eyes. I know it was probably an easy mistake for you to make, them being so complicated to operate for some.

Wear a mask/face covering so - it will increase your chances according to the WHO, CDC, ECDC, NHS, HSE and NPHET.

You're not supposed to wear it over your eyes!
Get a better fitting cover if you have problems. My mask doesn't come into my field of vision at all.

I am clearly not wearing it over my eyes. I have had correctI’ve eye surgery in the past. I have tried numerous types of masks and find peripheral vision difficult.

If it is just me, then I will make an appointment with an eye doctor to see whether more corrective surgery can be done to allow me to safely wear a mask.

The requirement is to go into a shop. People are not putting them on to minimise any risk. They’re putting them on because it’s now stupidly mandatory.

Park. Take out car key. Sanitise hands, steering wheel, keys.
    Put on mask. Leave car.
    Get trolley. Sanitise trolley.
    Shop.
Load shopping into car. Sanitise hands, card, wallet, boot lid handle, door handle.
    Get into car.
    Remove mask.

You may not see me use the shop sanitiser because I'm buying my own by 500ml bottles. That doesn't make me anywhere near as dangerous as someone refusing to wear a mask.

Indeed so we are seeing different non compliances in the same settings. Your shop is letting 5-10% people in without a mask. I am seeing less and less people hand sanetising.

My point, which you are avoiding, is that I believe some people have replaced wearing masks for hand sanetising. They should be doing both.

    Just a question

Do you individual sanitise every item in your shopping when you arrive home ?

If not the risk is still present from all those items and everything you handle whilst putting shopping away.

This is the thing if people want to analyse every little thing. A mask a great routine like above can still have flaws.

I know some people who throw their clothes into the washing machine and have a shower when they return from the supermarket.

    Of course it can.

Social distancing, good hand hygiene and masks have the most impact.

If you think sanitising your shopping will add to this, go for it.

I wouldn’t even bother with that but for people to go around now claiming a mask will make everything safe is a false sense of security which has been caused by introducing mandatory wearing.

Who does that? I haven't heard it at all.
Everything I've seen is that it's a risk reduction measure. Nobody has claimed that any measure will make everything safe (that I can see).
