Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

a few issues immediatly sprung to mind the minute i heard the OAKPARK rashers ad.
granny Brett= good chance protestant name, therefore probabaly not small farmers, more like 250+ acres in Tipp which equals pretty much aristocracy back in the day.
- sets them to growing barley to feed the pigs, this isnt 2 acres to feed 20 piggies, more like 150 acres to feed huge intensively farmed pigs in the hundreds, pretty much factory farming of 1920s probably a scale unknown at the time. this crowd are no small time operators no matter what spin the put on it.
Now the two brothers if its them voices on the ad somethings up. One is happy/yappy, diddly idle doo accent. the other has Aiden Gillen crossed with Gerry Fish. I cant even make out what he says "... from feeeaa to fry up..." am i right in this or is it field anyway perhaps hes betraying the the aristocracy accent roots and giving the game away. definitly strange accents on both very litle Tipp there.
You're reading a lot into this but I suspect you're wrong as a brief look at the 1911 census indicates that Brett is an RC name - not that it matters - and as for the accents having aristocratic roots....Lol...just a bogger accent.

LOL, I enjoyed reading this. I hear they do have some Irish people working on the farm though.

There's a particularly annoying, utterly useless Ad at the moment for Sage (?) with some lad singing (?) some sort of rap (?) rubbish - mentions his daughter in it. Who pays for stuffh like this and whatever happened to the thing of having your product name all over your Ad otherwise it's useless.

I hate the Hyundai sponsored AA traffic updates. You have a nice piece of classical music then an electronic jingle. I will never hear "O Mio Babbino Caro" without thinking of that annoying jingle. P!ss off Hyundai.0 -
