Was q3 MEQRS article 34/36? ... I think judicial review question/directive and q3 were nice.... I feel my fundamental rights and competition law question may let me down ...

It was indeed!!! Very handy one I felt!

I prayed for a nice case note question and I got one!!!! Thought it was a nice paper overall!

But the question asked you to analyse under arts 30 & 110? Uh oh did I make a big mistake?!

My Fundamental Rights Q and Judicial review Q were solid. Direct effect Q was decent. Then my citizenship and Art 30/100 Qs were poor tbh. But it might be enough to get me over the line!

Tough paper I thought. Also sickened I didn’t learn Art 101/102, looked like a lovely Q if you knew it

    What question was Direct Effect?

Must have my questions mixed up so! Both questions came up! The wine one was A 30/110 and the paint one was the MEQR one A34/36

What did everyone conclude for the DE and MS question?

No not at all I just didn't see that question and panicked. I thought it was something about the institutions so I moved to something else. Dam it!

What did everyone conclude for the DE and MS question?

That was the one with the Bank? I waffled a lot I found. Thought it was looking you to discuss the MS Liability more? and then I did a bit on CBI as an Emanation of the state and briefly talked about Indirect effect might be possible against the Directors of the Bank.

I also thought the one with the Paint was Art 34/36, product requirement, labelling would be more appropriate etc

Overall I Thought the problem Q.s were tricky and the essays weren't too bad!

I said the same for the paint one and used that Scottish Whiskey case from 2017! Restriction wasn’t proportionate!

The bank one and looked at all of them individually and then concluded with his best option would be through the directors! Could be wrong though!

If it means anything I think EU Law has the highest pass rate out of any subject - it's in the 70's. Most people pass without issue.

I went with just Cassis anyway! Didn’t appear to be any reference to selling arrangements!

Kind of surprised that no IDs were checked in the exam hall. I know Covid restrictions and all that, and I’m sure nobody working there was getting paid enough to be taking the risk but theoretically we could all have gotten someone else to sit the exam for us

Does anyone have an idea of when the applications will open for the October sitting? And what time of the month they're usually on? Thanks :)

Just keep an eye on the website I’d say! Think someone said they asked and were told provisionally been held 5th-16th October!
