Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's incredible from Hulk. How the man doesn't have a seat is appalling

60/1 for Hulk to qualify top 3. Thank you kindly!

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Hulk drove the car for the first time a week ago and has out qualified the guy who's been driving it for a year. Great lap from Hulk but also shows up the difference between Stroll and others, namely that he can't qualify for ****

Who was it said a few days ago for Hulk to get a podium and Racing Point to then get disqualified.

    Ms

That was a good qualifying season. Much better and more exciting than last weekend one. Well done to Nico he drove great the same with Ricciardo. Good to see Bottas get the pole. Hopefully we get a good race now tomorrow and maybe Bottas, Max, Nico or Danial to win the race.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I’d love a Hulk podium so much. Next years drive to survive would be brilliant

Formula 2 feature race starting now... Looking good for Illott in pole. Schwatzman who is leading the championship is down in 11th on the grid.

Llundgard will put in a good race at the front too!! It's the feature race so there will be the mandatory pitstop.

Same its mad odds but don't think I'd have been brave enough considering he only slightly improved in practice pace this weekend (open to correction on that) and he wasn't great in qualifying last weekend

Hopefully Stroll's struggles in the race last weekend were Strolls struggles and not Racing Point's struggles

Dan Ticktum is such an idiot.

I can't understand why he is still competing at this level. Other guys have ruined their careers in the past for much less than he did, he got off lightly and yet he clearly hasn't learnt anything.

Heck, people doing jobs not nearly as demanding and risky as motorsport, have one single/genuine/silly mistake brandished at them like a sword for years.

Decided to take the gamble I also had verstappen at 9/1 EW for pole, to hedge my bets!

Mick Schumacher usually knows every inch of his car, but it's a shame he didn't know his teammates car size!! That'll be a learning for him.

Delighted to see Tsunoda get a win. Red Bull will be paying attention but he's a little down the standings at the moment to get Superlicense qualifications.

Do we see a start like last weekend except Lewis gets it done at the first corner?

Wouldn't mind seeing him getting done in the first corner

Hoping Danny will get on the podium today.

Terrible rendition of the anthem, but sure he looked the part.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,219 ✭✭✭Gaoth Laidir

The difference between Lewis' press conferences when he's top and not is notable. Not the best of losers. Almost said nothing in yesterday's post-quali conference. Hopefully Valtteri keeps position on the first corner and holds Lewis off. Would love to see Valtteri win and keep Lewis quiet again.

Of more interest may be Verstappen on the hards versus The Hülk. Strategies should be interesting today.

Odds on Hulkenberg getting a dnf, has rotten luck

Nice piece with Captain Tom Moore.

Mad to think that he was in his 30's when F1 started 70 years ago and he is still watching it today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Verstappen starting on the hards gives him the advantage on strategy, combined with the strong race pace of the Red Bull I expect him to squash and chances of a Hulk podium. The race pace hasn't been great in the Racing Point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,011 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

    Lol Vettal

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Worse to even worse for Vettel. Spin for him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,884 ✭✭✭Tzardine

I do wonder if Vet is ****ing with Ferrari.

P1ssed off after getting the boot, likely retiring at the end of season, is he out to mess with their constructors points?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,292 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

We waited a while for the replay, but some great replays there of the Vettel incident.

Bottas now out of DRS range

Bottas now out of DRS range
Likely team orders with Max nearly 4 seconds behind now.

    Vittel now fighting with Russell.

    Says it all really.

If Hulk can stay where he is it'll be a great result, in the top 5 and ahead of his teammate.

And didn't manage to pass him on track either, Russell pits and Vettel inherits the position

Mad Max gonna have a go.

    Hamiltons tyres are ****ed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,292 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

I hope Lewis can't see those rears of his, you'd be ****ting yourself

Is it just me or is the camera director really bad? Random camera shots of cars when there's battles going on elsewhere

    Hamilton’s tyres look nasty

Max looks in with half a shout here especially if the mercs end up scrapping

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,292 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    This might get very interesting,

Verstappens might have better tyres right now that the mercs who have both pitted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Max one stop, it's the only way

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Mercs don't like warm weather. Wouldn't be surprised if they had to 2 stop while RB 1 stop

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Max has more than a good shot of winning this

    Albon struggles to get 12th

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

I don’t see how Max can one stop if the tyres are degrading so badly.

It has to be worth a punt though. Would be very impressive if he pulls it off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭Thrashssacre

"real threat is verstappen" aka Lewis no attacking bottas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Max pulling away from the Mercs now on tyres 15 laps older

The mercs might have to three stop :pac:
