Source of transmission known in over 90 percent of cases - Glynn
The acting chief medical officer Dr Ronan Glynn has confirmed that over 90% of new Covid-19 cases in Ireland have had their source of transmission identified, describing it as "positive".

What has happened in relation to the security guards?

7 Day average numbers for the past 3 weeks. One outbreak like in Kildare can send this off trajectory too easily which is always the worry, however the numbers for past 4 days since Thursday look to be stabilizing, I would hope to see daily numbers in the next few days go back to 30-40 range

Day Month Date Cases 7 Day
    Tuesday July 14th 32 20.29
    Wednesday July 15th 14 20.71
    Thursday July 16th 21 20.43
    Friday July 17th 34 21.71
    Saturday July 18th 21 21.43
    Sunday July 19th 10 20.43
    Monday July 20th 6 19.71
    Tuesday July 21st 36 20.29
    Wednesday July 22nd 17 20.71
    Thursday July 23rd 7 18.71
    Friday July 24th 20 16.71
    Saturday July 25th 24 17.14
    Sunday July 26th 12 17.43
    Monday July 27th 11 18.14

What do you mean? What do you want me to answer and Ill be only to happy to. But, could you just answer me also about how people are saying dont let in UK. Do you think the Oxford vaccine will be let in? Do you think the 90 min tun around tests will be let in?

Are you being deliberately obtuse? There was a post regarding the age profile of Australian cases. You quoted my post and went on about Germany and other nonsense. When I asked what it had to do with the Australian numbers you then feign confusion and go on about the UK, a vaccine and tests. What are you on about? It was a simple question. Take a deep breath, think, and then explain what the German situation has to do with the post about age ranges in Australia. It's not difficult but it does require sticking to the question asked. That what I want you to answer.

People seeing the small increase in numbers and panicking again. 40 or even 80 odd cases is nothing,

Population of around 5 million, there's 6 people actually sick with covid in hospital,

They love saying the age of people who are testing positive, but not saying these people aren't sick atall

    LIFE EXPENTENCEY 79 years old

    COVID DEATH average 82

Are you familiar with the hockey stick analogy?

Security guards were riding people in quarantine, picking up infections and leaving work and spreading covid.

Not going to happen. We're only talking about another month or two before they can reopen. The approach of government will be they have the existing supports only and any that go wallop well there were too many pubs anyway.

Let's call a spade a spade. If the pubs don't reopen now they won't reopen until there is a vaccine or a shift in public policy. The reasons for not allowing pubs to reopen in July have not changed now and I don't believe there will be a change until there is a vaccine or better therapeutics available.

Looking at the evidence it's not the pubs (that are currently opened) that are the issue and they need to keep a closer eye on employers in certain industries that are causing the issues.

32 associated with outbreaks, the numbers will continue to be high for the next few days when this is the case. That Kildare outbreak is massive.

I really hope there's a proper investigation into it. With numbers this high there had to serious negligence involved.

Quarantine is a bad idea so, thankfully we don't have that problem here.

Hopefully those in charge will have to answer some hard question because clearly something slipped in terms of safety measures.

They don't give enough detail for that but the best we have is the overall average is 33% of cases are community transmission. For the last 3 days it has been, 27%, 8% and 11% (today) respectively

No actually. Other states used the army for security. Melbourne outsourced security.

Don't mean to be like bragging or anything of course just an observation but I'm seeing really high mask compliance in Cork, I would say 80-90% and we haven't had a case in 3 days. Just 5 cases over the past week.

The employers are simply running their businesses. I don't think you can implement guidelines in meat factories. And I don't think meddling with the food supply chain is going happen.

I still find it hard to take any of the guess work stats the government release.
