Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Oh cop on to yourself. Can we have one weekend without this nonsense?

Anyway. Verstappen needs to come in for softs. Make it interesting.

Cop on to myself? That's just a silly response. Keep your blinkers on however.

There’s some amount of grass in silverstone for cutting.
Shout out to the grass cutters

Think I'd rather have watched the grass being cut

People giving out about the Merc dominance, but if you took both of them of of this race, it would still be a sh*t race.

Indeed, then it would be verstappen uncontested, trailed by Leclerc with some first lap skirmish.

    Albon sets the fastest lap.
The only point of interest left will be who gets that.

He’s won a race every year, some of which in absolute dogs of cars.

He’s beaten every team mate he’s had, including three world champions.

You’d swear he was never challenged according to some of the experts on here.

I agree with this. He was crap in 2011 and early 2016, but outside of this he always been one of the quickest guys out there.

    How many laps left?

You just need to look at his McLaren career to know that no, he wouldn’t produce it without an utterly dominant car. Not in the same class as Schumacher, or a driver like Alonso who regularly beat him in an inferior Ferrari at that time.

The same Alonso who Hamilton beat in 2007? ;)

If Albon doesn't finish in the top 10. He won't get the BP.

A rookie Hamilton beat a two-time defending champion Alonso when they were both in the same car.

They finished level on points despite Ron Dennis openly admitting that the team was “racing against Alonso” as the relationship deteriorated when Alonso was one of the whistle blowers about the corruption within the team and their use of stolen Ferrari blueprints.

    Way off topic though.

I think next week is lining itself up to be great with softer compound tyres.

Verstappen regrets stopping now I bet!

Next weekends tyres are even softer.

A nice bit of drama to end it all.

Bit of a shambles by Mercedes at the end, they are lucky it wasn't a 53-lap race.

A 3 wheel Merc can still win well.

Very kind of Red Bull to make sure not to get in Hamiltons way!

What an ending. Such a pity that Max was not able to get the win or even if it had of been Lewis with the flat tyre first. Awe well at least it was an exciting ending.

Ah lads the commentators saying why did they pit Max.

They had a pit stop ahead of LeClerc for well over 20 laps. They should have pit him earlier.

Interesting.. Verstappen would have won if he hadn't taken the pit stop, but then he wouldn't have gotten the fastest lap, and what were the chances Hamilton's tyre would go too?

It is a tough one isn't it. I'd have stayed out a gambled for the bigger prize.

They should have pit him with 10 to go. LeClerc wasn’t within an asses roar of him.

Shout out to Gasly btw. Great race from him.

Verstappen not pitting could have resulted in a flat for himself. They took the safer option. Lewis very, very lucky today.

It all happened so fast. Three cars with punctures. Who's to say Max wouldn't have had one too.
