Smashing motor, such a gorgeous car, would love it to be a bit cheaper, I need to start changing, the megane is too small and getting in and out is a big issue lately.... My head hurts from banging it so many times ...

He does say open to offers, so might be worth chatting to him to see just how open he actually is?

I'd say €1500. If I was selling a car that I put up at €1600, €1500 is what figure I would have in my head as rock bottom.

Also will add I'm not saying that is how much that car is worth but it's just an example of the figures I would have in my head if I was selling a car and priced as such.

Ah yeah, I'd be guessing the same
At maybe 1250 it would be a nice buy, but he will probably get close to asking as there are very few decent 2.4 diesels around

Looks like a nice example. Looks in pretty good shape.

Pity the tax is not as low as the hatch. Is it a different 1.8 engine to the hatch?

Still cheaper than the old system.

Engine is the same but the saloon isn’t as aerodynamic or light as the hatchback so the emissions are higher.

Ah I see. Makes sense. Might be a good replacement for our 05 corolla hatch. Probably as fuel efficient and reliable?

Anything will sell quickly when its priced right... Some people don't seem to mind sitting and waiting for big money... There's places full of cars for that reason.

The former would be my way of thinking....

Love that too. I had a couple of 25s back in the day. Liked them.

Wife is planning on going back driving, has to unfortunately start from scratch so lost all no claims and theory etc.... Done a few dummy quotes and getting none.

She is snookered I'd say to something newer then 15 years old.... Want her in something nice, catchy and different.....

She keeps looking up random absolutely vile sheds and sh1t boxes and basically has no tasste in cars

I got rid of second car years ago due to no need but always kept alternating the insurance between O/H and myself every two years to always have both no claims bonus active, spent long enough getting it!

If you want something super cheap to insure, look at an Aygo/C1/107. Seem to be looked upon very favourably by the insurance cartel

They make sure not to show the reg plate in the photos... Then show it on the nct disc..

    Import...wonder what a check reveals.

With almost 500k km on the clock and clear declaration in the ad that it was used as a taxi I doubt this was deliberate. Meaning hiding anything at all.

Some people just don't show the reg in the ad for unknown reasons, but if you are interested you can call and ask for the reg.

    Privacy gone mad or whatever.

With that mileage, ex taxi and import status it will be difficult to sell.

    Very difficult.
