Bruno was absolutely awful last night. He has a lot of minutes in his legs. Even before last night he was slowing down with some 6 pointers rather than big hauls, so I don't think it's a huge risk to go without him.

I'd be surprised if he hauled against Leicester. A 5-8 pointer perhaps but I think a blank is more likely than a haul

    Have you got Ings?

Auba looked wrecked the last game and Arsenal were dreadful.

Have ings but Auba chasing golden boot at home to Watford is appealing. Might wait for press conferences

I know it's absolutely futile to try to predict, but what are people's guesses for Pep's final day lineup, and specifically Sterling's odds of starting?

Do you think he'll see this as CL prep and go for his strongest side?

Or continue with his pattern of rotation based on previous games played?

I think Sterling coming off at 63 mins suggests he'll probably play.

Seems, like me that many have this chip left.. what are people’s free hit teams made up of?
Maybe give a bit of context too as if your making moves to block someone chasing you or trying to make up ground on leaders in a league

For me Dilva will deffo come in and maybe captain even

First draft of many for me is
    Pope (fodder)
Aurier Digne Tarakowksi (vestergard robinson )
KDB Sterling Dilva Bruno ( soucek)
    Kane Ings Greenwood

Struggling with this too. I’ve really enjoyed the parts of this season when I didn’t own City players.

It’s much more relaxing at teamsheet time. Except for all the points I missed out on.

They have a 5 days break til the Norwich game.

Then it’s 12 days til they play Real Madrid. **** knows what Pep is thinking but I’d imagine most managers would put out the team they plan on playing against Madrid and get 90 minutes in to each and every one of them. But it’s Pep.

So I think it could be - Bilva, KDB, Sterling with Jesus up front.

He may play KDB centrally (In a 3 behind Jesus) with Bilva and Sterling wide and 2 holding midfielders because they have the advantage against Madrid and may play that way against them. So Rodri and one other holding. Well that’s what I’d do.

Though the truth is anything could happen.

Surly Dilva starts his last ever game?

Surly Dilva starts his last ever game?

    That may be the case.

He may play his second 11 and feel he’s already got his first 11 ready for Madrid.

    Who knows ?

In addition to what I posted above I wouldn’t be off owning Dilva, Foden or Mahrez as 15-20 minutes at the end of that game could still yield very good points during a cameo appearance.

Also no idea why people don’t wait til 5 minutes before deadline in case there is team news leaked.

That’s what I’ll be doing even though it means staying up til midnight.

So my captain won’t be picked til then either.

The one thing I hate about the game now is the price rises. I can understand it if players don't have a game till the following week. But price rises on a Sunday evening when there are cup games during the week does my head in, especially if you don't have much money to play with for your transfers.

Aubameyang is a mad one to be selling.

    Last 5 games:

    2
    1
    2
    8

Fair point. Maybe just Mane to Sterling then?

As a DeBruyne owner Sterling taking that peno the other night was like a dagger through the heart. Will be interesting to see who will take them this weekend. Obviously Sterling will be gunning for the Golden Boot and will want to take it but if he's still a couple short surely Silva will be in the running to take it in his final ever game. Whatever happens I highly doubt KDB will be on them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,365 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

if KDB takes the pen, I would not be surprised to see a Pires/Henry type penalty just so KDB gets an assist!

In such a scenario would the penalty taker actually only get 1 point?
3 for the assist, and -2 for not scoring?

He will get -2 because Sterling will fcuk up the shot :pac:

Depends on what is the best outcome for the decision maker.

I’d imagine the guy that rolls it gets the assist and the guy that strikes it gets the goal.

No assist for the guy who won the penalty.

I'm going into this weekend 10pts off 2nd and €€€. Was 16 points ahead going into gw 37 but his BB and having sterling put him 10 ahead. Currently our teams are similar both having TAA,KDB,Bruno,Martial & Ings. His biggest differential is Sterling to my Foden. So to make up points I'm wondering what to do this is my current team I plan on upgrading foden to silva but will have to take a -4.

    Mine:

    Henderson
    TAA Doherty Pieters
    KDB Bruno Martial Foden
    Vardy Rashford Ings

    His:
    Pope
    TAA VVD Egan
    KDB Bruno Martial Sterling
    Jimi Greenwood Ings

    0.3 ITB and 1 FT

    What would you do?

Considering TAA/Foden/Vardy out for -8 but unsure who to get in? Looking at Kane as a differential.

    Any suggestions appreciated thanks!

I’d sell Rashford for Kane, funded by TAA to what Burnley defender you can afford

Grand for people who dont have family or lives to obsessively refresh twitter and fpl until 5 minutes before deadline, but for the rest of us we gotta make the moves when we can and hope it works out for the best :)

    Troy Deeney folks?

    Hates Arsenal.

Probably needs to score to avoid relegation.

Got sent off the last time I owned him.

But it's not a terrible idea on a FH?

If you're only 10 points behind, a -8 will leave you with 18 point gap to makeup. However well thoguth out your transfers, that's a big gap to bridge.

I'd just take your FT at this stage, one of your Man United players for another City Mid (Bruno - Dilva probably).

Make sure you captian one of you differential players too. Having a different captain gives you a better chance to bridge the gap

Aye but you’re alive and knocking about.

Setting an alarm and taking 5-10 minutes out (come into the room) is possible surely.

    But I hear ya.

    I’m very lucky as I don’t have a life.

100% just this weekend although I did write that before I was aware that there will be no team news guaranteed this GW.

I just thought with all the confusion around City and most people wanting to use captain, in that game, it could be worth the wait.

Yeah. Wonder what kind of faith we can have in such an article.

How in Gods name would they have any clue what Pep is planning.

Like I said earlier, I can’t get better than 50-50 on whether he’ll start his first 11 and all play 90 minutes or rest his first 11 entirely.

It’s more that they are on the beach for the week more or less

No Fa cup final the following week so they are basically on a break until champions league preparations kick in again

That’s fair, but 2 days break could have a positive effect. More likely not though.

If Sterling is in St Tropez there isn’t a hope he will start on Sunday.

He will surely have to isolate and be tested before being left back into the bubble? It’s a bit mad he was even allowed go!

That’s right up there with Aggie:eek:

I can’t see how Sterling can be on a beach in France on Thursday and be cleared to return to play on Sunday given how stringent measures are at the moment.

Jofra Archer the cricketer had to self isolate and couldn’t play for 5 days because he stopped off in a mates house when driving between venues.

You can travel to France from the UK without quarantine though.

Mahrez and Mendy are also in St Tropez.

I wonder are City having their 2 day rest now, ready to come back refreshed some-bit and treat Norwich as a warm up game before a hard 10 days training before the CL starts up again.
