That's it then. Epstein paid the McCanns for Maddie. He sent Maxwell to pick her up and Kate & Gerry started spending their money straight away by "going on the lash" with their friends. :pac:

You asked did she speak Spanish. I said she did. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't speak for anyone else. So if you have an issue with another poster address it to them thanks.

Grand so, no need to thank me for answering your question quite comprehensively and getting called 'tetchy' in the process.
I described the prosecutor as engaging in BS and too date there has been nothing to contradict that in the public domain.
Sending letters ffs, pick up a phone. Not hard.

So his assertion that the German police sent a letter, confirmed by the Met police is still BS? Ok.

How do you know there hasn't been any phone calls between the two?

    Did the letters arrive yet?

    Funny, I’ve no idea.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,962 ✭✭✭✭dark crystal

The person in the ghislane maxwell photofit came forward after an appeal. I believe she was an Australian tourist

Yeah, I would think it would be fairly easy to ascertain Maxwell's whereabouts on the dates concerned anyway.

Also, to my knowledge on reading up about herself and Epstein, it was more so teens they were interested in recruiting/trafficking. I haven't read anything about babies/toddlers at all. They are sick and twisted alright, but if there's information out there about them abusing children that young, I haven't heard it.

Sending letters, contradictory statements. To me yes BS.
Then again there is so much about this case that could comfortably fall into the BS category.
I don't know if there was or wasn't phone calls as the German lad never mentioned them but he did mention letters.
It would seem more professional to me if you had information to pass on that a phone call followed up by an email would make more sense.

I wasn't having a go at you sorry if it came out that way

Thanks to Dark Crystal for bringing us up to date on the issue of the letters. Seems to be a prickly subject for some, Lord only knows why....

No, we've been through this before. The sequence of statements are the other way round completely.

The last time he mentioned her 'maybe being alive' was on June 14th. After this, he doesn't say this again and goes on to say he has sent the McCanns 2 letters stating that Madeleine is dead and they have 'concrete' proof.

They have not swayed from this position since June 14th.

And for those who need a little help here – the important thing to take away is that there is a possibility that someone can be alive, and then subsequently die. But not the other way around. Unless your name is Lazarus, you cannot be dead, and then subsequently be alive. So there was no contradiction.
(And just for those who think they might be witty, bursting to post stuff like flat-lining, seeing white lights, jump-started back to life; don’t bother).

Why would you think it's prickly? You seem to want to attach your own meaning to every comment here .

Often wondered why the child was made a Ward of Court not too long after going missing. And also, in most jurisdictions around the world a person can be declared dead after 7 years. We are now at year 13.

But I suppose it is a very emotional thing to do, to get a court to decide that a loved one is dead, even if there is no evidence of that fact.

Ye both must have missed it, as it was posted a while back. Sure, I'll repeat what's already on this thread and google anyway...

The German police sent a letter to the McCanns via the MET police at the end of May. The MET police received this letter on 12th June and passed it on to the McCanns.

Both the McCanns and the Met Police stated there was no evidence contained within that letter that proved Madeleine was dead. However, there has been no update or public comment on the second letter which allegedly provided updated information on the case.

And that's where we are with the letter situation.

For future reference, it's no good asking posters on an internet forum things like "Where are the letters" and "What was in the letters" as we are not any more privy to this information than any other Tom, Dick or Harry not involved in the investigation. Google, however, is accessible to everyone.

Hope we're all up to speed now!

Yes Boss, you know everything about this anyway and know exactly which posters get under your skin too.

Who really cares anyway apart from the fact that the child is gone?

Is there any money left in the fund BTW? Not asking you dear, just in general.

And please don't start with your holier than thou comments either. We know what they are.

Wow, have I touched a nerve somewhere by posting facts I was asked to provide?

What a strange, rambling, tetchy post! Not enough conspiracy theories in there for you?

Hope that comment wasn't too holier than thou for you, dear ;)

Look, I know you are passionate about this case. I truly do.

My issue is with the way you are often not open to other views. That's all, it's nothing personal and please don't take it that way either. Not worth it, it's the anonymous internet after all!

Best wishes, and going forward maybe we should all get along a bit better with open minds.

It was so they could get the police to share information:
her parents applied to the High Court to have her made a ward of court. They are now using the wardship to ask the court to order Leicestershire Police to disclose details of reported sightings of Madeleine, so that they can have those sightings investigated by a detective agency.

The only reason to declare a missing person dead is to allow their estate to be administered and such like.

Well to be fair I can understand that. But the police sharing information is not looking good. They are all doing their own thing now anyway.

Apologies if it was already posted, 60 minutes Australia covering a lot about CB. Warning, it’s quite upsetting, strong hints that they have some kind of photographic or video evidence.

It would make you wonder the “anonymous” guy in Germany who knew him how he thinks nobody will know him by the back of his head and where he lives. You’d also wonder how much this guy actually knows about CB. Always suspicious of “Acquaintances” of these ppl or friends surely the chances of them being involved or knowing more then they say.

Yeah, I guess that’s just to fill time on a programme really. But it seems very unlikely the police would be so confident if they didn’t have something concrete. They can’t release it, there’d be uproar in the media and he’d get off on some kind of unfair trial at that point.
