Actually what he did was row back on the original claim slightly and said they didn't have biological proof of death so couldn't prove it. I don't think they said they thought she could still be alive, other than from the view of not being able to conclusively prove otherwise..

The claim was they have proof she was dead followed, by she maybe alive.

Never even knew about this woman till lately but my god the photo fit from back then is eerily similar

No, we've been through this before. The sequence of statements are the other way round completely.

The last time he mentioned her 'maybe being alive' was on June 14th. After this, he doesn't say this again and goes on to say he has sent the McCanns 2 letters stating that Madeleine is dead and they have 'concrete' proof.

They have not swayed from this position since June 14th.

Who gave this photo-fit description? Is it in the PJ files?

Not sure why you're directing that at me.

I've never come up with any theory conspiracy or otherwise.

The only position I've ever held is I've no clue what happened.
As you've said, all I ever mention is their neglect, but apparently that's a new line that's been brought up because of this new evidence.

Not directing it at all at anyone. Just chatting.

The case brings up whack jobs from all sides tbh.

If it didn’t cross your mind at the start that the parents could be suspects then you are lying to yourself. The first rule is to always suspect those closest as they know the timelines, there was way too much inconsistency from all their stories not to arouse suspicion. This case is also far from solved in any way shape or form. So nobody is right, either way Madeline is the one suffering the most.
Never crossed my mind in this case. The deep shock and searing distress of both of them was so genuine and obvious to me that it was perfectly clear that their child had either awoke and wandered or been abducted. I’m not a detective either and always prefer to leave the sleuthing to the professionals.

It also has a disturbing likeness to Lara Croft.

No one who is supportive of the McCanns ever cooked up any of the theories that the others did.

You don't need wild theories to be a whack job :)

    Did the letters arrive yet?

None of us know. Its possible they did and it hasn't been announced yet. Maybe you should contact the McCanns and ask them? I believe there are contact details on the FindMadeline page.

This photo fit is out since the earliest days of the investigation, think Crimewatch UK had it out first with the sketches of the two males also, it was centered on a reported sighting of a woman struggling with a kid in Morocco I think I recall. Don’t quote I’m recalling 13 years ago. The image is very very like Maxwell.

Well the Germans claim they sent letters too the McCanns and the UK authorities. I just thought that those on here that follow the story so closely would have heard.

    Don't worry

They'll be falling over themselves to report it's arrived if it does. You won't miss it.

It's possibly the closest match between a photo-fit image and a real person I have ever seen. The Portuguese certainly should interrogate their computer records for incoming flights around the time in question, but Epstein seemed more interested in teens, as far as I am aware.

The "Victoria Beckham" lookalike as she became known was reported by two men in Barcelona years ago. They saw her in a bar & she looked like she was waiting for someone. Later, outside that bar, she approached them and said "do you have my child". They said she spoke fluent Spanish. Does Maxwell speak Spanish?

The person in the ghislane maxwell photofit came forward after an appeal. I believe she was an Australian tourist

No but she has short hair now so the e fit must be her.
Christ there was more sightings of Maddie than there was of Elvis.

Ye both must have missed it, as it was posted a while back. Sure, I'll repeat what's already on this thread and google anyway...

The German police sent a letter to the McCanns via the MET police at the end of May. The MET police received this letter on 12th June and passed it on to the McCanns.
In an interview with respected Italian daily la Repubblica, Mr Wolters said: “We have informed the parents their daughter is dead.

“There have been two letters sent to the family.

“I didn’t personally write the letters, the Federal Police in conjunction with ourselves and the British got in touch with the family.”

Both the McCanns and the Met Police stated there was no evidence contained within that letter that proved Madeleine was dead. However, there has been no update or public comment on the second letter which allegedly provided updated information on the case.

And that's where we are with the letter situation.

For future reference, it's no good asking posters on an internet forum things like "Where are the letters" and "What was in the letters" as we are not any more privy to this information than any other Tom, Dick or Harry not involved in the investigation. Google, however, is accessible to everyone.

Hope we're all up to speed now!

Probably to do justice to your smart arse phrasing:

She speaks four languages fluently, and yes one being Spanish.

I thought I was quite polite in answering your question. Far more polite than Linman's sarcastic post warranted anyway, especially as it had already been asked and answered some time ago.

I don't speak for anyone else. So if you have an issue with another poster address it to them thanks.
I described the prosecutor as engaging in BS and too date there has been nothing to contradict that in the public domain.
Sending letters ffs, pick up a phone. Not hard.

That's it then. Epstein paid the McCanns for Maddie. He sent Maxwell to pick her up and Kate & Gerry started spending their money straight away by "going on the lash" with their friends. :pac:

Yea yea that’s exactly what it was, thanks for jogging my memory.
