    No: I don't care enough

    Cotton/Kitchenroll/toiletroll etc stop NOTHING
Face coverings of any kind restrict spread. That's basic physics. The N95 ones appear to be pretty much the highest standard generally available. However the general DIY ones limit the spread quite a lot. Home-made cotton ones less-so, but do still offer a hell of a lot more protection to others than nothing at all

CNN have been showing videos of how the various materials restrict someone's exhalations all day. Bottom line is anything is better than nothing (and that's why pretty much every senior person in the US, except for Trump, are crying out for everyone to wear face coverings of some form)

New scum into power, no money in account, need money, so,

    Ban overseas travel
Make people spend money in Ireland
    Make people wear masks
Oh, by the way my family make masks, lets make them compulosry.

    Too simple, do ya think?

If you can do the job, do it. If you can't do the job, just teach it. If you really suck at it, just become a union executive or politician.

    Yes: homemade
3ply does not make them surgical.

Qualifications for masks depend on what they stop.

    Example N95 stop 95%

    Cotton/Kitchenroll/toiletroll etc stop NOTHING

Surgical masks and N95s are different entities. You don't seem to know what you want.

Cotton stops something, not everything though.

Masks are ONLY recommended for SYMPTOMATIC people to stop spread

NOT recommended for ASYMPTOMATIC as leads to FALSE SENSE of security and leads to MORE SPREAD

    I am totally lost.
Overseas travel hasn't been banned ...
Who in the government do you think is making a fortune on masks? Do you not think they are being made compulsory due to the fact they seem to have helped limit the spread in other countries?

    This is Lidl, is it?

What are you talking about? Are Lidl not sufficiently left wing, republican, or something or other, to sell masks?

    :)

Have you even looked through this thread? It doesnt seem you have much of a clus about masks just chip on your shoulder about something.
Can I suggest slow deep breathes and chill

If I'm holding a spray bottle towards your face, would you get more water on your face while holding nothing in front of your face or while holding a Cotton/Kitchenroll/toiletroll barrier in front of your face?

 Not in the slightest. I'm well aware of the size of the virus. It's the droplets I'm interested in stopping spreading from me to others. You might Google them.

Now, I'm out of this nonsense

    Are you that naive?

Check out the relationship between the following,

Larry Goodman and Simon Coveney and work permits for brazilian workers, or even better permission for flights from bulgaria to ireland with fruit pickers for teelings.

Then, tell me that no money was made on these.

Would depend on the size of the globules emitted from the spray, but that is BASIC science

Yep and the virus is carried in droplets like globules so most of it would be blocked by masks

If I coughed up a small gob and spit it on the ground in Galway, would it affect you in Chicago?

ANSWER: Depends on how big I am and how much I spit.

This gets more deranged with every post. What has that to do with who you claim is making money from masks? What has Larry Goodman to do with the effectiveness of face coverings?

About Larry G or the effectiveness of facemasks?

The effectiveness of masks is well proven.

No need for anybody to prove anything to you. And, I believe discussion is permitted without your approval.

WHat am I to refute? Your incoherent rambling? Your rant on stuff not connected to masks? You incorrect assertions on masks and the virus?

there is so much and so little time.

Read the entire thread before continuing to rant it is all there for your enjoyment and education.

    But why?

You and many others state that rules/advisory/ etc change on an ongoing basis.

Why must I go back to the start?

Edicts/rules etc from today start now.

    Base your examples on today.
Your big iost count means nothing, just like your fingers in other pies mean nothing.

Back-up yor argument with fact, of STFU

My back up is in the thread yet again no need to be downright rude, acronyms dont hide the fact you are crude and rude. Try being polite and disussing things rationally might get you a proper response.

How about cutting the rudeness and foul language and realising that you don't dictate who may post and who may not.

Why should anybody rehash the entire thread just because you won't read it?

So you were right from the start?

Even though the government said they weren't?

Even though WHO said they weren't?

Even though your hero Tony said "that he was and still is but they wouldn't listen to him (echoes of Cervixius)"
