My two Favourite lesser well known characters in Father Ted was Liam Neeson threatening Fintan Stack and Kony getting the Noel Furlong treatment.

I'll be back tomorrow evening about 6pm with the last 16 and quarters. Probably will increase the quota given the interest in this round. Thanks for taking part so far folks!!

Missed earlier rounds - was Father Liam Deliverence there ?

Thanks for this reminder. Love him and never knew his name. The little sidekick monkey looking old fella also cracked me up.

One of the most difficult clips to find on YouTube is the tour of the Nazi Bunker. It was side splitting when Ted exclaimed that you don’t have much ally paraphernalia and the priest admitted that that wouldn’t interest him.

After all these years Sr. Assumpta is still with us and trying to her her gas boiler fixed. :):)
I think she was washing the Irish rugby team's strip a while back and all.

Don't find Fr. Furlong funny, he's just ranting nonsense and hyper.

    WELL...Well I never....

I'm putting you on my list of enemies...

The priest who dressed as Ziggy Stardust in the talent show was class. Only one word but he delivered it so good.

I thought the Spinmaster would go a bit further, doing a whole disco with Ghost Town was a hoot, and using it for the national anthem at the end :D

Kicking off at 6pm with the last 16. Getting tough now, particularly with the open draw format....

Raising the bar to 8 votes required to progress. Serious biznazz now!

Reasons are optional but may be taken into account if tied after 30 mins.

Sister Assumpta - think she's a serious contender in this comp.

Asumpta, a million times over. She's actually funny. Jack says nothing of substance and gets tiring quickly.

(I also find him quite phyiscally repulsive so it's difficult to watch his scences tbh).

    Fr. Jack.

For the head on him alone.

    Sister Assumpta, genuinely funny character.

Sr Assumpta. Some great lines and excellent physical comedy.

    Jack

Not just for the character himself but also for the many great lines about him by the other characters.

Dougal: "Did you tell me once Jack had a trial with Liverpool?"
Ted: "No, he was on trial in Liverpool"

'Fr. Jack says it's a very warm day, the girls won't need their sweaters'.

'How did that gobsh*te get on the television? Is he never off the air?'

Tough one, but I'll give it to Jack based on his dislike of nuns.

Fr Jack - if only for the time I giggled uncontrollably when we met a priest called Jack.

Plus it would change the show fundamentally if he wasn't in it.

Fr Dick Byrne - as much as I like Mustard, he was a one ep wonder, while Dick was a great recurring character
