Probably Brazilian, this is is very hard for them with greetings!

Sorry I meant when they were parting they did the hug/kiss. One was Irish and the other was African.

Government made the call on mandatory masks, not NPHET.

I don't think my post contradicts that

You couldn’t make it up......news report on RTÉ now about a woman who was rescued by four Gardaí after her dog pulled her into a river.
They just showed her hugging each garda.
Under normal circumstances it would be lovely but given how they have been hammering on about social distancing it seems completely irresponsible!

You should probably thank him and his colleagues that our country isn't f*cked right now like our friends across the atlantic.

I'd rather thank every Irish Citizen who stuck with the physical distancing, handwashing and staying at home...

Travel cases from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, United States, UK, Sweden, Italy to name a few.

Apart from Italy those other countries high risk, I’m not surprised.

If you think that's all that helped us you're delusional.

And who brought in those things? Did everyone spontaneously decide to do it all of a sudden?

I spotted that too, very poor example being set by the Gardaí.

In fairness the Gardaí did a great thing and I personally think there’s nothing wrong with them hugging. We are not robots, we’re people!

Lessons to learn during a pandemic using as an example asthma regarding no/low/high/extremely risk.
So asthma at the start as it is a lung condition was in the extremely high risk catotory, then dropped into a lower risk catorgory and is now divided into different risk catorgorys depending on the type and severity.
Science research evolves with a new virus and whatever is your underlying health condition checking for updates every so often is a must. Some times the news will be bad sometimes good or a mixture of both. You need to research and self advocate and confer with your gp etc. lesson learnt.

Earlier today I actually watched a live feed report on CNN from the scene of the crime: Bournemouth beach. First thing the reporter did was find someone to talk to about yesterday's antics and promptly shook hands with said witness. It's weird how we zoom in on these things but I suppose we're all conditioned to think like this now. Kinda depressing really

Wouldnt blame him with rubbish like this being said
Holohan needs to stop being given such prominence, at this stage he is spouting personal opinions and anecdotes, he is an unelected HSE CMO. He needs to realise his place.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It's been fairly well reported that any future restrictions won't be national.

That's just warming Dubliners up...it's inevitable there going back into lockdown once all the travelling abroad starts. They can't cry this time and expect everyone else to be in lockdown with them.
Aren't most of our new cases imports now with the majority in Dublin?

Most countries will be still eligible for 14 day quarantine. The air bridges will be to a few selected countries with similar infection risk to our own country. If I were you I’d be more concerned about people touring Ireland when the restriction is removed next week.

They never stopped touring, nobody was blocked entering the country there was an alarming amount of Yellow regs today and i'd lay money they weren't northerners I'm too far south.

Can we at least be clear of the last phase before people start talking about bringing back restrictions ffs

Also remember NI was fully open to UK and still have low cases. I have noticed the yellow regs too for some weeks now but we still had only 11 cases today.

    Holohan very concerned by travel

“ Dr Holohan said he was beyond nervous about the return of international travel next month

However, he said it makes sense to him that if travel is to happen it will be between Ireland and other countries where the level of incidence of Covid-19 is similar to or lower than it is here”

Stopped in the Applegreen in Paulstown in Kilkenny today. Two British registration cars with bike racks and bikes on the roof, full families with kids. These are clearly holiday makers and this is very concerning to me. Many Brits may see it as their right to visit Ireland but frankly they can f*ck off.

Was it definitively GB as opposed to NI?

I was in Cashel during the week and saw a number of non Irish looking tourists (separately) with cameras around neck etc.
I couldn't help wonder where they were staying.
