As in people bringing it in, yellow regs also travel on boats over, they never stopped. It just seems to be now a large amount.

I’m on the road a lot and there’s definitely an increase in UK reg cars.

5 day average must nearly be single figures by now

    Five day average on cases.

    11,11,5,10,4 =41 divided by 5 = 8.

    Five day average on deaths

    3,1,6,3,2 = 15 divided by 5 = 3

Just to note I don't include denotifications as they could be from cases weeks or even months ago.

Travel cases increased again in the last week

Is that for cases that have been found in the past week or for historical cases that are now being reassigned from "Community Transmission" cases to "Close Contacts" and "Travel" cases?

If it's new cases that have been imported it's reassuring that the systems in place seem to be working well.

On a technical note, does a case brought in from NI count as a travel imported case even if the source in NI was known of?
Eg. A doctor/nurse working in NI who lives in the republic but picks up the virus at work in NI? Is that a travel case or a close contact/cluster based case?

Do you think the map would mean that there wouldn't be ''air bridges'' between Ireland and France, Italy, Spain etc?

If France keeps going the way they are I’d say there will be a bridge.

Watching the press conference. Holohan seems genuinely concerned about travel and young people adhering to distancing

Holohan needs to stop being given such prominence, at this stage he is spouting personal opinions and anecdotes, he is an unelected HSE CMO. He needs to realise his place.

We should also translate this into ‘Holohan to costs thousands of travel jobs in airlines/airports/travel operations if he gets his way’.
This is not good enough! Ireland is an island nation and we need connectivity, we should have an effective testing and tracing system set up, temperature checks and other measures at airports and be able to travel within the EU to safe zones like everyone else who is part of the bloc.

Today I saw two women in their 30’s greeting each other on the street with a hug and kiss on the cheek .

I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that anyone on NPHET aren't unelected. They make recommendations to government who are though.

Government made the call on mandatory masks, not NPHET.
