ICU has gone up to 12 from 9 this morning, although admissions is marked only as 1, unless from acute bed to ICU doesnt count as an admission? Acute beds is at 30 with 3 discharges and no admissions in last 24 hrs.

The dashboard is usually a bit iffy with those stats. We'll see in the HSE operations report tonight the real story.

Is there something they're not telling us?

    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/health/coronavirus-clusters-in-irish-houses-surged-to-500-last-monday-1.4288367?mode=amp

"The number of Covid-19 clusters in private houses has reached 500, surging by 110 clusters - a 28 per cent increase - in a single day, new official figures on the disease show.

The most recent daily report from the State’s Health Protection Surveillance Centre shows that the number of clusters increased from 358 on Saturday to 390 on Sunday to 500 on Monday."

If our cases are low, how come there's such a huge increase in clusters?

There seems to be more clusters than cases. Shouldn't you have more cases than clusters?

Yes it's confusing unless late reporting of cases clusters, old cases

Yeah it was showing 16 yesterday evening before the HSE report came out. Not sure what way they update the dashboard

Brittas was jammers today too. Was lovely to get down from the city for a few hours.

Yeah, and fair enough. I'm not convinced about the risk on a beach tbh, and some of those photos create the perception of being a lot more packed than in reality. If they are all within reasonable groups and not on top of each other, it probably doesn't impact too much.

Contact tracing has identified what they call the Serious Seven: weddings, funerals, faith-based activities, bars, gyms, house gatherings and other small events.

    Here's a reference for CiViD-19 related pancreatitis
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1424390320301472

It increasingly appears to be an inflammatory condition that can affect multiple organs.
It's a whole lot more research moment not definitive, like most new ideas on this.

Numbers to go up where in Europe ?? barbers etc were one of the first places to open in Denmark for example no increase and thats close contact. There's been house parties all over Ireland.
Germany spikes due to meat plants, lisbon due to "covid parties".

The US never got out of the first wave due to absolute clowns in charge so its not the exact same now.

I think everyone knows the higher risk places are left until last, they've to open eventually.

Outside living and extra sunlight was going to help - TX and FL summertime means indoors and aircon on (which the virus loves)...

They make you fat. Obesity isn't good for this. But if you're like Ryan Tubridy, go for it.

Ah sweet #$@# let people live some sort of life through all this. Always a negative spin. It gets wearisome.

No new cases in Dublin, number is same as yesterday, not lower as it was the last 2 days.
