Can I ask why Sweden's considered a low risk country?

Weird alright, I hadn't noticed. They must have slipped them a few bribes

They finally uploaded testing and contact tracing data. Referrals have dropped big time, again. Approaching 1000 a day. Literally 0 demand.

Cases in Oklahoma up until yesterday and six of Trump's advance team already testing positive !

But the 'monster rally' goes ahead anyway...

Have these right wing populist leaders like Trump and Bolsonaro and their idiot supporters more than two brain cells and a faulty synapse each?

Problem with the likes of Trump and Bolsonaro is that between them, approximately 121 million people, humans, earthlings, voted for them... viewing them as the best and steadiest hands to lead their respective countries, in times of health, prosperity, peace or ill heath, financial difficulty and war... neither are fit enough to lead a goat down a mountain never mind what’s going on now in the world.

A bio-med engineer says a salt coated mask might be better than N95's
    https://www.insider.com/mask-coated-...navirus-2020-2

Regular table salt is the key as it's crystalline and its hard, sharp corners can pierce viruses, rendering them unviable, within minuites.
Inactive with 5mins, destroyed with 30mins.

I always keep sea salt, vinegar and garlic at the door to keep the dark entities away (political vote canvasers, and tarmac-service providers), works very well.

We all (except from the poster of course) seemed to have missed this salt trick. Might never have got past thread 1 if it had caught on

Ah lads, you're just making fools of yourselves complaining about a Trump rally while defending mass gatherings at organised protests.

Take a minute, take a break from frothing at the mouth over Trump and Bolsonaro and realise how flawed your logic is.

Big difference between an indoor-anything and an outdoor event.

Both are indefensible. One may lead to a super-spread event.

Trump is the very worst person to have as President at this time, and hundreds of thousands will die due to his incompetence and weak character.

I can't believe I'm defending the man but I find it ridiculous when I see the same people on social media and the press who savaged Dominic Cummings and sat on his doorstep for days for breaking restrictions now turn around and cheer on BLM protests. As good as the cause is their actions were grossly irresponsible yet Trump supporters are the only ones who are idiots.

I guess we should take that advice with a grain of salt. I'll get my coat.

Cummings was the architect of the lockdown. That's the difference.

UAE has put us in 'Group A' of low risk countries as well.

Even the likes of Germany and Denmark are in 'Group B'

Some of this is accounted for by surges in meat packing plants. The government has had to reimpose restrictions in those areas.

If cold temperatures in meat processing plants is meant to play a part, what will winter be like?

Temperature doesn't come in to it.

Well it clearly does, otherwise what's the explanation for the meat processing plants?

Looks like the hope that the virus could be running it's course is not happening.

Social distancing and hand hygiene maybe our only hope of living with that virus until a vaccine comes .

It clearly doesn't . Have you seen the temperatures in some of the countries and states currently taking a hit???

    35c in Texas today, 33c in Florida, 31c in Rio..... ;

The reasons for the meat plants in Germany are the same as for here and that has been well discussed already.

Oh I understand, I thought Europe is getting this under some control. Then along comes the meat processing plants... Which would suggest that we're in for a **** winter.

Yes, people have to be absolutely 100% damming and attacking of anyone and everyone not being socially responsible, not being health responsible.. no fûcking ‘skin color’, no ethnicity, no political affiliation, no ‘cause’ can give anybody or any group of people a ‘hall pass’...quite honestly... fück them, their cause because black lives matter ? NO, EVERY life matters, we are in the shît in this health situation that’s not differentiating between black, white, Asian, whatever... the virus, doesn’t care ! About time black lives matter started caring, about something further than what appears on just their own horizon..

A lot of people think both the black lives matter protests and Trump's rally are equally stupid events to hold in the light of current events.

I'd say he was leaning more towards herd immunity

Not so. He is the policy maker of the UK govt. He pushed for lockdown.

Are you sure? The UK government was decidedly against lockdown for quite a while, until it was obvious that it wasn't tenable to avoid it. That's the first time I've heard anyone mention Cummings' name as one of the architects of the policy. The impression I got was that he was not in favour of it: hence why there was such reluctance on the part of the UK government to enter it.

U.K. were gung ho for herd immunity and Cummings was its biggest advocate. They wheeled out ‘experts’ who were polar opposite to every other advice. There is sources say he said ‘if that means some people die so be it’. It became clear that they realised that they had messed up their calculations of projected deaths and did a U turn.

I see so many people on social media who are applauding Sweden and their herd immunity approach. But they were quoting statistics from mid March and when they are told that they have the highest death rate in Europe in last number of weeks and even their disease expert has admitted that they made a mistake they reply fake news. Norway and Finland have not opened up their border with them.
