Out and about and in shops I haven't seen that many people wearing masks. I have noticed an increase of people wearing them on Public Transport.

Once thing I've noticed is that some people will wait for the bus to arrive before putting on their mask.

    Sounds perfectly logical.
We're not being advised to wear them outdoors.

I suppose it just comes down to personal choice. I find it easier to put on a mask before leaving the house. But then the bus stop is literally across the road from me.

You'd be surprised at the demographic on surveys. The level of detail you must give is insane. Source: I do surveys for RedC.

I do them too (several different companies by phone and inline) but I still think many results are skewed when extrapolated to a national level.

Great news today. I'm delighted with that. Finally deaths are catching up with our low case numbers.

As an aside was any information published on active cases? I think they said they would start publishing those numbers this week.

you were here last week saying the same stuff and expecting a large jump in cases after last Monday and that didn't happen.

Shock horror here we are again a week later

No I wasn’t. You should get your facts straight before you go saying stupid things.

That new Chinese cluster is really growing, over 100 cases now. Constant vigilance needed.

The Chinese "suddenly" report a massive cluster. All their numbers are a complete lie, guaranteed.

I wonder how it broke out in China again because everyone coming into the country must enter a 2 week government run quarantine hotel.

There must be a load of asymptomatic in China or something because how else could it have spread?

Wouldn’t active cases be the current number of hospitalized plus the cumulative number of new cases over the last 14 days, with a small few that fall into the both categories?

seriously , have you not looked at all the countries south of the equator, they are exploding with new cases. everyday worldwide cases reach a new high.

I see Brazil has plateaued, so that's not exploding with new cases. And it's certainly not growing exponentially like the doomsdayers would have you believe.

I would have more faith in the Chinese and Russians to be publishing accurate numbers than the Brazilians with that gobchite in charge

Correct but they indicated they would report daily on it along with the other numbers.

Local lockdown, tens of thousands in contact tracing. That's the way to do it!

New infections in Turkey double from early June

Turkey’s health minister warned citizens against complacency on Monday as daily coronavirus cases doubled compared with figures in early June, Agence France-Presse reports.

The country registered 1,592 new cases and 18 Covid-19 deaths for the past 24 hours, Fahrettin Koca said on his official Twitter account.

There were 786 infections in a 24-hour period on 2 June. At the height of the pandemic, Turkey recorded over 5,000 daily cases in April.

A 'plateau' of about 1000 deaths a day in a country the size of Brazil is as bad as it possibly could get especially considering the average Brazilian is about 30 years old. The situation in Brazil could not be construed as a positive one no matter what way you try to spin it

You would assume that china will show less numbers than showing their ineptness?
