It is strange how so few have been placed in Mayo in this last year compared to other counties. have they stopped placing people because of Covid-19?

No sure what is happening this time. My county used the 2016 panel until October 2019 when they called the first interviews. They have only interviewed a very small number of candidates and there’s been no movement according to pas since the end of February.

I have a lot of friends in the civil service in my county and there seems to be a lot of internal movement promotions/retirement but no reflection of this in panels despite mobility being suspended.

Not sure whether to be hopeful that things will start up again or just give up on this panel!

I can't speak for any other county but I have moved up 2 places in Westmeath since the beginning of February so 2 people must have been placed here.

Hi RC01 ...are you on open panel? Which batch are you on?

I'm not sure if it's that they've specifically stopped or if it's a consequence of covid 19 because places are closed.

Between December and February the panel for mayo moved 3/4 places.
Between February and May it didn't move at all.
(Those were the times I emailed to ask)

That's strange they are usually very prompt to respond

the only hope we have of this panel starting to move anytime soon is if they start calling people to zoom interviews.

the people who have had an interview dont have to worry about that :)

i doubt they will start anybody in a new position while there is nobody in office to tell you what to do and do induction etc. which will be god knows when

It's nearly a year since my interview. Very little movement since then.

We had some CO's start in the last week. The office is WFM so I don't know how they are doing training. They will eventually WFM as well

Unsure of what you mean. You can accept it. Your start date will probably just be deferred.

    Heya,
Anyone know what is the status of this campaign for Kerry?

    Heya,
Anyone know what is the status of this campaign for Kerry?

    Hi
I received the following reply yesterday

"We have so far called up to the order of merit of 41 on the Open and 21 Interdepartmental for Kerry to interview. We have no current plans to call anyone further at the moment, however if and when we do and should we reach your order of merit, we will notify you via your message board.

The EO 2019 will be expiring in September 2020, however we will be advertising a new EO Nationwide competition in the coming weeks so keep an eye on Public Jobs for further details."

It looks like we will be starting all over again

Thank you, yes I was worried if I do happen to get offered a position and was not available to take it as I'm starting maternity leave that it would be withdrawn. I wasn't even pregnant for the stages, a long process 😂

Hi, was anyone told what date in September?

Really is. Can’t help but be disappointed. My counties are usually ones that move along albeit not very quickly. If it closes on 30th September there will have been 10 months from 1st interview until close.

Looks like the trial of separating Dublin and regional panels hasn’t worked out.

Wonder if they will have online exams then interview this time around with social distancing.

If fairness with Kerry there seemed to be quite a bit of movement, In the majority of other counties outside the top 10 have not been reached for even interview

I know the feeling I am next to be placed but if people don't retire until October it isn't much use. Did they give you a date in September?
