Like or not we get to start from scratch again

Used my BB in GW29 so I’m looking at

    Henderson - McCarthy
    Egan - TAA - Lascelles - Kiko F - Taylor
    Bruno F - Sterling - Mahrez - Grealish - Douglas Luiz
    Aguero - Jota - Kane

Probably going to be playing my free hit and my first draft looks like this:

    Reina

    Stevens Baldock Egan TAA

    KDB Sterling Grealish

    Aguero Auba Jiminez

Ederson, McGinn, Fleck and any of the rest of the Man City squad are other DGW players on my watch list on first glance.

Currently have Jiminez and TAA as non DGW players. Looking at fixtures and Pukki, Ings, Abraham, Robertson and Son are others I might be interested in.

Used some of the regular transfers during the lock down to upgrade my team so not sure what transfers to make now. Kind of hoping what I've got now will do well but if any changes are obvious it would be appreciated if someone could point them out. Currently have:

    Leno
    Lundstram, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Doherty
    De Bruyne, Fernandes, Salah, Saint-Maximin
    Aubemeyang, Jota

    McCarthy, Fernandez, Cantwell, Calvert-Lewin

Only .1mill in the bank so upgrades would have to mean selling off some of the higher value players so thinking of just making no change. Have the free hit but think I might keep this for the last week and then get in players who still have something to play for.

The last GW is generally pot luck, even with teams who have something to play for. I'm playing it for the DGW as its as sure a punt as any.

Lots of leagues will be decided in FF terms by then so imo better to try and make up ground now then hoping your in the mix the last week

    Going for

    Henderson
    Bellerin Lundstram Baldock
    Kdb Mahrez McGinn Grealish
    Laca Kun PEA

    with El Ghazi first sub.

That’s a FH team I presume? Or WC straight after?

    Currently on

    Leno - Martin
    Egan - Azpa - Maguire - Boly - Ritchie
    Mahrez - Sterling - Grealish - Douglas L - Bruno
    Auba - Aguero - Jota

I’m not convinced by what Liverpool will do. Ancelotti could have Everton up for beating them

Planning on going all out on BB and then straight into WC.

Just mocked up a team there...think I'm gonna hold TAA and Mane.

Anyway, somehow ended up with 4 Sheffield and 4 City players so back to the drawing board :-)

Slim pickings on Arsenal and Villa tbh....does anyone know who (if anyone) is nailed as Villa goalie?? I think Reina had coronavirus (?) but not flagged so assume ok now..

I not sure cause have 3 SHU def and 3 AV attackers

    Henderson Pope
TAA Egan Baldock Adam Smith Ake
    McGinn Grealish Ozil Mane KDB
    Samatta Aguero Jiminez

    Thoughts?

    Reina id presume

I decided Leno over Henderson, removes the need for a sub to cover the Sheff v United game, so an overall saving of 0.8. Arsenal have marginally better fixtures and I expect Arteta to tighten them up a little. I don’t see Henderson as being 0.8m better value until the end of the season

I'm not sure if Heaton is registered to play or not after his injury, let alone if he is fit. So Reina more than likely I would think.

the mighty john mcginn is back

If I FH i might end up going with leno in goals instead of henderson as it allows double defence and fleck.
There is a sentence I thought I would never type
    Perhaps with good reason!

    first stab at free hit
    leno (button)
    TAA o connell egan (kelly/4.1, 3.9)
    kdb sterling pepe grealish fleck
    aguero auba (greenwood)

Not entirely sure I want Leno, Sterling, pepe, Auba
    or to free hit
    :D

It would be nice if we found out where he will be playing. I think he was playing deeper for villa than he was for Scotland before the injury.

Good team apart from Pepe, don't be roped in by his high price. I'm not convinced he will even start, he didn't play in the 6 nil friendly win.

Think I'd rather Saka than Pepe.

Think I'd rather Saka than Pepe.

I'd pick Fleck and McGinn ahead of him too, 4 points guaranteed with decent goal threat.

Will Saka definitely start though? Is Tierney back fit?

I have BB and WC to play, so looking at setting team up for a DGW30+ BB, with a quick WC after (possibly GW32)

    Current squad is:
    Krul, Gazzaniga
TAA, Stephens (SOU), Lascelles, Dunk, Saiss
    Salah, Mane, Saka, KDB, Cantwell
    Aubameyang, Jimenez, DCL

    Thinking of moving to:
    Ederson, Leno
    TAA*, Lundstram, Egan, Mings, Lascelles
    Mane, KDB, Mahrez, Grealish, Fleck
    Aubameyang, Jimenez*, Samatta

*too much cash tied up to sell.

That would give me 11 DGWers, TAA, Mane, Jimenez and Lascelles (budget constraints). Obvious doubts over Mahrez and Lundstram getting game time and Villa actually scoring!

I don't think there will be a better time to play BB to be honest and the WC means I can bale out quickly.

    Any views?

EDIT: I actually have FH left too.

Mahrez and Mané? Or Sterling and Pepe? On FH

He is, hard to know if he'll be thrown straight in though. Saka could always strart in the front 3 as well.

    Using BB.

Is this too punty? I think it might be...

Although I do have lots of ground to make up...

    Leno-4.6m
    TAA-Stevens-Lundstram-Guilbert-Targett
    Mahrez-KDB-Ozil-Grealish-Fleck
    Auba-Aguero-Pukki

    Henderson

    Trent-VVD-Baldock

    Salah-KDC-Cantwell-Mahrez-Traore

    Aguero-Ings

Current set up. Can't see meself making many, if any, changes.

Happy enough with Trent, VVD and Salah, it's only Everton. Three City players speak for themselves and not much room to manoeuvre elsewhere.

I may swap Mane in for Salah.

Thats a very risky two man forward line.
Are you planning on playing Cantwell every week?????
Also not mad on spending so heavily on double pool defence. TAA is enough

You must have money on the bench?

Have WC, BB and FH left

    Currently looking at the following

    Henderson-Leno
    TAA-Baldock-Stevens-Targett-Saiss
    Barnes-Fernandes-KDB-Grealish-Cantwell
    Aguero-Jiminez-Aubameyang

    Considering:
    1. Barnes to one of Traore or McGinn
    2. Cantwell to a 5 mil mid (given change above)
    3. Ferandes to Mahrez

Reece James trained today so would be worried about Alonso starting.

    Different sides of the pitch.

    Reece is a right back.

I know but it means Azpi can move to left back if James starts.
