    Quoted 3.60 base for steers today in the midlands area.
    not as eager for cattle as last week. this dry spell seemingly after forcing a few lads to off load a few.

    They are drying to cut down to €3.50 as they are saying there is is a good supply now.

    They were saying on the Farmer's Journal Tech Talk that factories are doing deals so not to interfere with the base price, such as covering the cost of haulage, or covering fees.

    That is an excellent idea if it's true. Although the scumbags will rip that part from the bag before throwing it out the window.

    Someone local i assume enjoyed a ice cream in a tub with a plastic spoon from mc ds and tossed it inside afield gate here since they reopened. imagine a few other lads got contributions earlier down the road from the feast.

    It's dispicable isn't it... Loads of rural roads littered with rubbish. When I was in the Mc Ds carpark eating my food the crows were waiting for the scaps and bins provided.

    Completely sick to the hole of cattle. Feeding them strong for the last few weeks and some are scouring. One lame but nothing in foot. Definitely under stocking after this summer.

    But they are horsing on the weight. Rant over.!
