    I just watched a video of the take-off. No steam or ignition from the engines at 5/4/3.
    Just " take off" and away it goes.

    They hose the whole area with water from sprinklers to stop it melting or to stop the neighbours complaining about the noise.

    I always had the impression of them lighting the rockets and clamping it down for a few seconds to build up thrust.
    Then letting it go.
    This just seems to start and take off immediately.
    20% more thrust than Saturn V apparently
