Someone asked about meat plants recently? Should we be testing animals?

So let me get this straight. An older person, who may perfectly legitimately have concerns about his health while coming into contact with others, got annoyed when some little shíts coughed at him. And because I said the little bollóx's should be shamed, you:

    1. call me a busybody
    2. suggest the old man is a dickhead.

We many all have different views on here about the virus, how it is dealt with, lockdown etc. But what we should all agree on is that behaviour like this is not only disgusting, but potentially lethal to the wrong person, especially an elderly person out having a walk.

Someone has to raise that type of teenager. And dismiss anything as "its just kids". No responsibility or understanding of consequences at any point.

Lots of things are suspected before proven.

    Including
    - asymptomatic transmission,
    - airborne transmission
    - gravity

    Yeah point taken.

So meat packers? Given that transmission can occur to other species and there is evidence of humans being infected by animals.

Would it be prudent to test this hypothesis? Or would it be better to wait for a double blind study to confirm that’s why all those people died?

It doesn't look like social distancing is happening there. Back packers in Australia attended a beach party on bondi beach and got ill and confirmed with covid19.

The party wasn't actually on the beach... beach, it was in a club on the Pavilion that then moved on to a club in Kings X.

I'm not sure on deaths but it strikes me as highly likely those outbreaks are happening (in numerous countries) because it's a horrible job done mostly by poor foreign workers for sh1t wages who have worked, lived and more than likely drank together throughout this whole thing.

Their tracking software had an issue a few days ago so they think that is the reason for no cases

Brazil has reported it's record new cases for the second day in a row. Nearly 20,000 new cases today, totalling 291,579 total.

Was watching VM Tonight Show, and was amazed to hear that hospital staff are not routinely tested, apparently you're tested only if you just show symptoms.

So we have 00?s asymptomatics Gailey going on shift and nobody worried about testing them.

That can't be true, can it?

If you think about it in practical terms then it makes sense. The only value in testing is to identify staff that have gotten it so that it makes it easier in the event of future waves to organize staff together that arent likely to transmit it due to having antibodies.

Otherwise, how can you test staff every day, before a shift and get the results in time so that they are prevented from transmitting it? They're using PPE as a shield to reduce possible transmission by asymptomatic means.

    Sorry for not being explicit.

    “Kids don’t spread it”

    “We don’t know”

    “Some get actually quite sick”

Subtext is send your kid to school. It should be grand (for the exchequer)

What an idiot. If France had a case in December, this virus could have started anywhere.

The data is changing daily - what was true yesterday may not be true tomorrow, but I don't see them sending kinds back to school next week
So again what is your point?

Ohh quick check and they are a shinner - no surprise, you know the party you don't see at the moment except to criticise everything.

They (technically) didn't break any regulation. Johnson told them they were free to travel anywhere in England and free to sunbathe for as long as they like.

Remove yourself from your civil war world view.

We are dealing with a virus that doesn’t give a fvck about the colour of your shirt.

The point is. We don’t know what’s safe. We are expected to take a leap of faith for the sake of the green jersey. Science has not concluded whether it is safe to let some of our most vulnerable to mingle daily (school children). Not to mention the second order effects with older family members.

Let’s reopen. Let’s see what those in power do not what they say.

I’d happily buy O’Leary a flight or bergamo and back. To test his hypothesis?

I won’t be testing any hypothesis with my children.

You really need to go for a walk down the street to see all the kids that don't give a feck about social distancing or coronavirus

Being in school isn't gonna make a damn bit of difference for the majority

Yeah it’s prob just the 5g. I wonder would they have given a deck if we didn’t implement the measures we did.

Fire is now just smouldering. See you in November.
