The future will be to tax faceless corporates and assets over individuals.

You should screen shot your comment and have a look at it in a year's time. Not picking a row, but nothing I have seen in my 40+ years will convince me there is any hope of what you say happening.

Antibody testing in Sweden shows much lower level of antibodies in the community than expected.

    Just 7% in Stockholm.

Is it just me who thinks two hours is a little long for close contacts? Surely if you’re in the vicinity of a positive case for as little as 30 minutes you could exposed.

Yeah especially with 15 mins thing. I don't know if 2m can protect you if you're that close to confirmed case if it can be spread in air.

Guess realistically anyone with visible symptoms will be asked to go home if coughing a lot say or temperature checks may be done too.

In fairness, Ronan is pretty decent. Usually you can cut the tension with a knife when Tony is talking to Paul Cullen - Ronan was a lot more straight up.

It doesn't look like social distancing is happening there. Back packers in Australia attended a beach party on bondi beach and got ill and confirmed with covid19.

Backpackers would be hanging around the same places, bars ,hostels, clubs etc. I'd be sceptical of that news unless it was backed up by a full study. The general principal though is that its an indoor virus

Harris has turned into a right little dictator over the last few weeks, he'd do well to remember that unlike Holohan it's the voters who decide if he still has a job after the next election.

Yeah he rubs him up wrong way I think. Don't blame Tony at times tbh

My calculations have 1,564 active cases

Impressive maths, official tally of 1,684, so you were close enough:

Yeah I guess roadmap differentiates between a pub and restaurant but if a pub has or gets a restaurant licence it's a bit of a grey area. By rights then they can obviously only serve drink with food so would be tricky to enforce I think.

Can I have a bowl of chicken wings and six pints please?

The active figure is almost 800 less than last week, so on that trajectory, we would have no active cases in a fortnight, if there is no phase one uptick.

He’s an insufferable little prick. He was vanilla to me before this but he really is a moralising little jumped up nobody

I believe the two hours is in the same room with physical distancing (on I side note I wish we could use physical distancing rather than social distancing. You can still say hello)

That could be a big IF.

A full bowl is taking it a bit far in all fairness.

It's becoming clear that they need to move the phases forward. Pubs are reopened on the sly and a a lot are distributing take away pints. Hair dressers all gone into the black market. And people buying clothes online. The big loser is the government.

The big loser is the person who catches Covid-19 and dies, and their family.

How long would you like life placed on hold? The virus will still be with us in the years to come. No guarantee of a vaccine and chances are there will be a rise in cases as more of the lockdown is rolled back. Even the French education minister upon being questioned about new cases of Covid in education settings since schools were opened said you cannot wait for zero risk.

A crowd of more than 200 mainly Brazilians reportedly dispersed by Gardai out on Sutton beach in Dublin

Time to stop covid payments and get some flights going so unemployed international students can go back home.
Classes won't come back anytime soon. Cambridge University just announced that classes will be online for the 2021 school year. Expect Irish universities to follow suit.
Not a chance language schools will open and no point in international students remaining in Ireland on the dole.

Exactly that, nonsense. Whoever dreamt that one up better be held accountable for the ensuing chaos across most sectors and places of work in Ireland...

Great news. Things are finally starting to look up, hopefully we can bring the stages forward a bit whilst still being vigilant.

The government need to establish that the cost of food must exceed that of alcohol.

What if one spends 1 hour 55 mins...or 2 hr 5 mins. Does the risk of dying increase exponentially?

Some rubbish about not being “allowed” spend more than 2 hours in people’s company (like in the Dáil) or else you’ll die . More covid brain dead insanity
