    Photo isn't loading for me

Is it a green Tipperary (TS reg) example by any chance?

No, a grey one on a UK suffix K-reg (1972/3)

Ah, right. I'm thinking of this delightful example I've seen a few times

Looks like quiet a seriously large trailer for that car to be pulling

It may be period correct but the red plates really don't suit red cars. I put one on my maroon car and it looks terrible. Will swap it for a white one in the future

Lotus is gorgeous. Also the design looks remarkably fresh for a 30 year old car, it has aged well.

Agreed! It's not OTT either. I'd taken my 80yo mother to the park at the designated 1.30-3.30 time and even she was impressed! My 123 is just 4 cars up, pity it was not beside it, would have been a good pic.

    totally agree.
My W124 is 87-D-120047, but it looks 20 years older than that Esprit !

And the W124 came out nearly a decade after the Esprit!

Didn't know you had one BTW, you had it long, what is it, hopefully a petrol automatic? :D

They are both rather... different cars for different purposes. It would make sense to compare the Lotus with a C111 that was over a decade older than the Esprit yet looking just as modern if not more.

The W124 keeps its engineering under the skin. Surprisingly, the brick shaped saloon has a similar drag coefficient to the Esprit that looks half as tall as the Benz.

Sure. But most other mid 70s sports cars look rather dated now (although still gorgeous)

Saw the Esprit again today, no pic this time. Turned onto the Malahide Rd from Clontarf, must be a local car.

Looked good going up the road, and was pretty quiet.
