Ser Jaime

As I mentioned in the previous round, I thoroughly enjoyed following his story and awaiting its conclusion was the only thing really worthwhile for me in the final episode. While everything had been torn asunder in terms of storyline, Jaime's story kept me invested.

At his peak, I prefer Tyrion. Early seasons Tyrion was my favourite character in the show but he fell off way too much for me to give him the nod over his brother.

Tough one but for me Tyrion was the closest thing to a main character throughout the series that there was. He generally made for good watching and was a great counterweight to the rest of his family.

Jamie here as well. I started off disliking him as most of us probably did. Yet the storyline arc with him showed that he was a good guy, just been dealt a bad hand :pac: with the family he was born into.

Tyrion a worthy runner up, he had some of the best early scenes.

Has to be Tyrion Lannister. Both brothers were cast brilliantly, but Peter Dinklage shades it for me for his portrayal of the one person with a bit of humanity in a family full of b*st*rds (notwithstanding Jaime's later redemption).

Jaime for me. From episode 1, Tyrion was the Lannister brother that I was routing for. Loved his wit & was automatically on his side as it was evident he was the black sheep of the family. Whereas Jaime had no redeeming traits. Slowly over the course of each season, his true character became evident and he was the one I was routing for. Of all the characters who died, he was the one I was sorriest about.

Tyrion - both characters were a little ruined towards the end, if Jaime had of went to Kings landing and killed the mad Queen, well he would be a ****ing legend. Tyrion, a dwarf on the road, his story was very good, his interactions with every character was brilliant. Jon Snow at the wall in season 1, Bronn in season 2, Varys and all the Kings landing sniping.

TV wise, the non-native English speaker does a better accent than the native speaker. Somebody spoke about Tyrion's accent wandering as much as Littlefinger's and it's true. The clip posted of his trial during the semis really shows how bad the accent is, even if the emoting was well done. Plus, not Dinklage's fault, but he's far too good looking to be Tyrion. Coster-Waldau was perfectly as pretty as he was meant to be.

No, I haven't voted yet. I'm biding my time.

I prefer Jaime to Tyrion in the TV series, but I only saw the first series and clips elsewhere, so can't really use that to justify.

I'm still undecided who I prefer in the books. Both were great, tbh.

LH has it right, 8-6 by my reckoning.

I vote Tyrion. He is just more craic. Loved him in the books and for most of the TV show.

Sure Jaime is a great character too. But it's always the big handsome knight that wins in the end.
