Jimmy has been spouting this trash for years now, either humour him or put him on ignore.

Cheerful Spring may be in soon...god help us.

Virologist Peter Piot, recently appointed special advisor to the President of the European Commission: ‘Finally, a virus got me.’ Scientist who fought Ebola and HIV reflects on facing death from COVID-19
“ Let’s be clear: Without a coronavirus vaccine, we will never be able to live normally again. The only real exit strategy from this crisis is a vaccine that can be rolled out worldwide. That means producing billions of doses of it, which, in itself, is a huge challenge in terms of manufacturing logistics. And despite the efforts, it is still not even certain that developing a COVID-19 vaccine is possible.”

Of the 4,086,503 SARS-2 cases, how many have been identified as a cat to human transmission? You are allowed to start worrying when it reaches 1/100th of a percent. Don't wake me up again until then, please.

Thanks for that. You are right. I don't have any information on cat to human transmission. We know its human to human transmission. I was probably jumping the gun thinking of 'what if it can get back from animal to human. Hopefully it doesn't happen that way.

Out of interest, can you refuse to be tested? I don't like the look of the test.

    US deaths timeline....

    1 : Feb 29
    10,000: Apr 4
    20,000: Apr 10
    30,000: Apr 14
    40,000: Apr 19
    50,000: Apr 23
    60,000: Apr 29
    70,000: May 5
    80,000: May 9

    That's 80,000 in 10 weeks. On average 10,000 every 4 days.

TBH I don't want that swab stuck in to my brain either

If I get symptoms I will just assume I have it and self isolate for a few weeks, no way I’m having someone shove a swab up my nose all the way to the back of my skull

You can refuse to be tested, however in extreme cases you may detained involuntarily under the Health Act 1947 meeting the criteria laid out in law

How does tracing work actually? Is a positive case list off people they were in contact with?

    https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/testing/contact-tracing.html

Explains the process in a fairly straightforward way :)

Why aren’t the saliva tests available here? Imagine people having to do that test every time they fly, flights will be empty. And they are talking about mandatory tests for workplaces....

    Mandatory tests for workplaces?
I don`t know if they will be mandatory or not but this is being floated. Do you have an issue with it?

    Mandatory tests for workplaces?

    Temperature testing

In the US, Fauci the director of the Centres for Disease Control and their equivalent of our Minister for Health are now self isolating due to contact with a positive case in the White House!

Meanwhile Trump and Pence are still meeting lots of people every day

Oh to be in the room if Trump had to get a swab stuffed up his nose.

Oh to be in the room if Trump had to get a swab stuffed up his nose.

He uses a different rapid test which takes a pinprick of blood from a finger

It has a 15% false negative rate

    I hate the rte ad:

    'coronavirus is here'

It sounds as if its a visitor to be welcomed and then the ad goes on and there's heavy breathing sounds in the background in the ad.

A poster earlier recommended reading Facebook support groups for covid19 people. It's scary. People with symptoms for 2 to 3 months and ongoing. No one knows what way our bodies are going to respond to this infection.

    Wow.

Was that your first encounter with a Jimmy post?

    Virgins
