Theories? You can not sue vaccine manufacturer. Do you know why?

I am amazed that people think vaccines are a good thing. or an effective thing. Flu vaccine has been around for many years, yet 60 000 + Americans died off flu in winter 2018. Is this a theory too?

Why are you posting about vaccines in this thread? Has nothing to do with the thread.

Google "polio" you moron and ask yourself why you dont know anyone who has it. Actually dont bother. I forgot you've seen loads of videos of dancing nurses. Cant understand why Leo is messing about with medical experts and lockdowns. Christ if only he would look at the dancing nurses we could all go to the pub and domestic violence would be ended forever. Run free my friend

Gemma is challenging lockdown restrictions in court. Lockdown restrictions imposed are to A) slow down the spread of the disease & not to overwhelm 100 ICU beds and B) wait out for a vaccine.

Leo has said this on camera, good few times. I am merely pointing out that this is not feasible and like I've mentioned earlier, Gemma as unlikable as she is - its a good thing someone is challenging these scientifically unproven lockdown measures.

    Is that not relevant?

    "Bring down the system?"

Regina Doherty, Shane Ross and Katherine Zappone all lost their seats in February but for some reason remain Government Ministers.

What system is there to trash but an illegal one?

Dear god, what a clown you are...

Wait out for a vaccine? You didn't pay any attention to Leo's announcement the other day where he gave a plan on how we open back up the country? Which didn't include waiting on a vaccine. Or does that not suit your narrative?

Seems to me you're here to parrot your anti-vaxx and "anti-constitution" rhetoric. Where you out in the Phoenix Park yesterday? Yeah?

Deadly virus?? I dont mean to undermine covid19 but there are 10 + videos of nurses dancing in empty hospitals on tiktok, youtube and other platforms. It is an outrage that we have empty hospitals and we say "yeah but its good because its better for them to be empty rather than overwhelmed".

Something that gives you 99% chance to live, should not be called "deadly". Cancer is DEADLY. Tuberculosis can easily be called DEADLY. I am just speaking facts.
Oh bloody hell, are you for real?

I am absolutely amazed that you disregard dancing nurses videos all over social media in empty hospitals. But that is your choice, you chose to see what you want to see.

I disregard irrelevant bull in the face of proven video and documented evidence of the scale of death this plague has caused in the likes of Italy and elsewhere. I dont care if the ICU's are only half full either thats a GOOD thing but you'd have to have arseways priorities to think that's a bad thing. You die it's game over you dont come back from that. If your nitpicking that it's because your looking for an excuse because you haven't anything of merit to point out otherwise.
Anti-vaxxers? Do you even know that you cant sue a vaccine company? You sue the government when things go bad with the vaccine. Do you want to guess why that is?

Ah yes very good and yet are you a qualified doctor in the medicinal field? Of course not your someone who's spouting your opinion with no hard evidence only I saw this because Dr. Google told me so! You dont buy vaccine's outta Boot's you go to your bloody GP and have him give you the rundown on these thing's as he's better trained in this area not you! If anything what your pointing out is something that's to do with the legal field more so than anything else and a completely different discussion entirely!
I'd completely disregard vaccine conversation anyways, it needs to be properly tested for many years before being released to the public. Would you inject something into your body when it has been in development for 9 months?

Let's see would you prefer A) A vaccine that has been tested as thoroughly and methodically as possible and have an extremely low chance of a bad reaction even though you can easily get advice from your GP about weather to take it or wait a bit longer, or B) run the risk of being infected by a virus with a much greater chance of being done in permanently? Vaccines work and have been proven beyond any doubt to eliminate the likes of Polio, Measles, Mumps and Rubella along with the various long term damage they can inflict and it was only because of anti-vaxxers that some of these have made a resurgence. The only thing that was proven is that Human Stupidity is the cancer of existence.
Economy being second priority? Why do you think life expectancy in Africa is 20 years below your average EU country? Because its HOT there?

Ah yes and that has nothing to do with the various levels of rampant corruption that's plagued so many tinpot dictatorships on that continent over the last number of decades right?
Leo has said this on camera, good few times. I am merely pointing out that this is not feasible and like I've mentioned earlier, Gemma as unlikable as she is - its a good thing someone is challenging these scientifically unproven lockdown measures.

People who challenge thing's based on perfectly legitimate concerns and motives are fine and good, Somone like "Gemma" who are doing it purely for malice, ****stirring, vainglory and generally because they downright idiotic attention whores are deadweight to society and a liability as far as I'm concerned.

I wasnt in Pheonix park yesterday. If i was, am i a criminal for disagreeing with scientifically unproven methods being imposed on 5 million population of the country?

The plan that government has announced will shut down 100 + business throughout the country and result in 10% permanent unemployment for the next 2, 3 years.

Permanent unemployment, 205 euros a week. 820 euros per month. This is heart breaking...

Debenhams 2000 jobs. Ryanair 3000 jobs. Aerlingus 900 jobs.

There was an individual laid off work 1 hour after Leo's speech on Friday, he posted on another thread here on Friday.

5901 jobs, lost. These are known job losses. What about 50% of restaurant and bar staff losing jobs because of social distancing measures requirements of reducing capacity of every single pub and restaurant by 50%? 150 000 + work in bar & restaurant industry.

Do you think these numbers are fake? Do you think that 10th of August, 3000 ryanair staff will be recalled? 2000 Debenhams workers will be asked to come in?

And what of them? You really think were the only country suffering from this? Tourist industry across the Northern Hemisphere is safe to say gone down the toilet thanks to this virus, there's gonna be far fewer travelling if at all as the borders are still closed to civilian traffic last word I head, safe to say holidays for most people are going to be staying at home or if lucky a few days down the country at most. Of course the Airline industry is going to be reamed outta it.

Debenhams is its own topic but safe to say their Parent company has quite a few questions to answer over this. As for the pubs and restaurants lets face it the restaurants have a chance as they can implement social distancing but the pubs by their are caught between a rock and a hard place no matter what, The goverment's doing what it can but were all just gonna have to bear with it.

Debenhams, like so many other UK companies were in big trouble long before Coronavirus. It has had sales issues for quite some time now!
As for the airlines, this is good news for the environment!

What is scientifically unproven? The mad notion that reducing contact and interaction can slow down the spread of a contagious virus?

How is it the Irish government's fault that the airlines are suffering?

Yes sirrr. Below. I was wrong, 14% instead of 10%. Apologies

Speaking on RTɒs Morning Ireland today, Donohoe said if the public health situation improves “we will see an improvement in economic activity in the second half of this year”.

He said the expected unemployment rate of 22% is “a horrific figure, given the scale of loss”, but added he believes this figure will go down to an average of around 14% for the year.

Lets sack all the employees in Ryanair and Aerlingus then. Environment is totally what human beings are about. not economy, society or life quality or any of those unimportant things.

Will you let Michael O Leary know that he needs to liquidate for the good of environment?

I've seen many questionable posts, but your one clearly shows that you still have your job. And you do not care if your neighbor has theirs.

Our government has made a suggestion, that is soon to be a requirement, to make middle seat empty. By making middle seat empty you are cutting planes capacity by 30%. If you cut business's capacity, you cut it's workforce. Why have 100% of workforce to serve 70% of capacity?

With this in mind, Michael O Leary had no choice but to lay off staff. It is incredibly sad. There is a reason 3000 jobs lost were announced this week and not say when lockdown was initially imposed in middle of March.

PS I am not saying that there is no drop in demand. But demand will pick up by itself, while governments social distancing restrictions have no deadline. Unfortunately.

So the total collapse of air travel worldwide has nothing to do with it? Not countries like Dubai closing their airspace? Not Australia, Spain, the USA banning visitors? Not China requiring a 2 week isolation on arrival? It's all just due to a currently non existent regulation in Ireland?

What countries have a deadline for social distancing restrictions, is there a country saying that once x date is reached there is no need to socially distance?

What affect would say, the restrictions in France, which is the most visited country in the world have on both Irish and other airlines?

Debenhams were likely closing anyway and used this as an excuse. International travel globally is dead for the next two years. It's not unique to Ireland. Distancing is going to be a norm. So once again it will hit businesses globally.

In addition, your point about the flu vaccine. I imagine plenty of deaths are due to lack of vaccinating. Particularly in the US. Then it's also the predicted strains that will take off that you end up vaccinated against.

A large number actually, since the vaccine protects against only 4 strains of the flu and they frequently include the wrong strains that do not help because it is not something that's easy to predict. They have to try to predict which ones will be most previlent and most deadly each year.

That said the vaccine still saves many lives.
