Imagine a young teenage girl rustling jimmies like this because she wants people to be environmentally conscious. Like, still being triggered by her. About a year later.

She pisses people off with her shocking attitude, not because she is young, a girl or a teenager. Trump is an ass that people never get tired of beating. Greta is in a similar role for some people.l

It's amazing how many people are hanging on her every word, giving her audiences with the political elite across the world so she can frown and shout at everyone about doing nothing but providing no solutions. The same people then wonder and moan about why nothing is being done despite having wasted all of our time listening to a Swedish family trying to make a few bucks from climate change.

I'm pretty sure someone just tried to equate Thumberg to Donald ****ing Trump! :pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:

'Attitude' indeed. Guess she should be seen and not heard as far as some of you are concerned...

I think most of us would prefer she went to school and had a childhood instead of being a mouthpiece for left wing political agendas.

Well it's a good thing what others do isn't any of ones business eh.

Imagine thinking you have the right to even think about how a young teenage girl lives her life.

Well in fairness, she seems to think she has the right to tell everybody else how to live their life. What's good for goose...

So that our grandchildren aren't living in a smoggy version of Waterworld.

    Seems fair.

Are you not adult enough to what you're told sometimes? She'd probably tell you not to be a murderer and rapist too, these are all, very basic ideas.

What smug hyperbole. The silly little girl has nothing to tell me that I don't already know and the solutions she promotes are as witless as your response.

You have a habit of deliberately lying about what I've said, including the bolded bit above - which you've been called out on multiple times before - and when asked to back that up, you balk and make a pissy/condescending post dismissing the need to back it up. So: Back up that bolded quote - link to a post saying precisely that, and quote sentences in full.

Your tactic is to lie about what a poster has said, in order to make up a hit-and-run false claim of hypocrisy - and to use that false claim of hypocrisy, to defend what that poster is arguing against.

Here you are defending posters labelling everything as 'socialist' with a false claim of hypocrisy.

At the same time, you are defending posters posting of propaganda tied to Koch think tank's (among others) - the most well known climate denial propagandsts on the planet - by ignoring the possibly 100+ times people have cited such propaganda, and pointing exclusively to people calling out that propaganda.

kyuss please dont call people liars. it looks like you are throwing a tantrum.

nb you didnt answer the two simple questions i asked, which by the way were certainly fairer and asked in a more measured way than the posts you were flinging out that promoted me to invite you to hold as clear a mirror to your own posting in this thread.

also can you please not use that swear workaround. its unbearably childish to go to that trouble and i personally find it offensive.

could you answer the two questions please, while you seem so fond of policing everyone else in the thread?

thanks kyuss, i do enjoy the debate as long as we all behave and manage ourselves.

I don't believe you debate at all - your current post is visibly insincere to anyone reading it - and your previous one contains a repeated lie about what I've said, that you were called out on before, and refuse to back up - at best it looks more like a smear.

no answer to the two questions.

    we'll move on.

lads has the world's press forgotten about greta?

its almost as if she wasn't really saving the world at all.

or perhaps the supposed imminent end of the world has been put back a little in terms of priority once an actual threat showed up.

ill say this for covid- you dont see any actual experts in it relying on having a teenager thcweaming and thcweamimg at the UN to get governments reacting to it.

still dont know how she got that platform, did anyone ever get to the bottom of it?

Whatever happened to extinction rebellion ? Corona has been good for the climate but will there be any money left in the climate change budget when countries start to get up and running again .

Like a lot of SJWs the Doom Goblin Greta is nowhere to be seen or heard.

You see these people have no empathy for humanity as a whole, if you listen to them carefully they blame humanity for everything.
Then when the Sh1t really hit's the fan like this pandemic, they're nowhere to be seen or heard.

More than likely because they think that most of us are the problem anyhow, they'd not blink an eye if 75% of us were wiped out job done in their eye's...

Gretta and the SJWS are not showing solidarity, even the headbangers on board's have not much to say about the present circumstances.

The thing about SJWs is they love anarchy andbreaking the rules, now they can't protest in number's and they're get togetherness is illegal due to restrictions.

    SJWs loose Sanity prevails....

no answer to the two questions.
Here is one of those questions from you:
dont you fill 50% of the posts in this and the last thread with unrelated ravings about how money isnt real?"

Cite me ever saying that this in this thread or the last - that is a direct lie about what I have said - and you've been directly called out on that same lie in the past. You are the only person in either thread who has said anything like that - putting it in reference to me.

Your questions are '"Have you stopped beating your wife?" type loaded questions - and you're simultaneously posting facetiously/insincerely, and trying to give the impression to other posters, that this is not so - in order to smear.

I'm astounded at some of the stuff in this thread! How people can attack or put down a child who wants a better future for herself and her cohort beggars belief. Such behaviours indicate a level of ignorance that almost defies explanation. Unfortunately that level of ignorance is all too common which is what has gotten us to the point where a child feels the need to cry out against it.
You know who you are, you should be ****1ng ashamed of yourselves but I doubt you know shame any more than you are capable of understanding the issues she raises.
    Idiots!

Where did I say anyone should be silent? I just said they should be ashamed, as they should. I'm not hiding behind behind anything, nor did I say there should be no more debate. Anything else to offer?

Oh come back down for a second.....

Very few,if anybody here or elsewhere is "attacking" or "putting down" Greta Thunberg in the sense that you, perhaps, wish them to do.

Personally,I feel very much that the manner in which Greta Thunberg has been handled, packaged and turned into a travelling circus by a close knit, politicized clique is bordering on mistretment if not worse.

Remembering always that Greta Thunberg was not the originator of the "Schoolstrike for Climate" action,it did however prove to be the Marketing Tool which her handlers rapidly spotted and latched onto.

Those who Greta Thumberg feels have "stolen her childhood" are not to be found on these fora, nor out in the greater World at Large where many hundreds of thousands of Childhoods are stolen due to the lack of basic modern standards of hygene and education, yet not a care for these realities is expressed by the off-stage fugures constantly to be found by Greta Thunberg's side as she travels the World peddling the truth as SHE sees it.

This perception issue cuts to the core of the issue,as Greta Thunbergs Aspbergers influenced thought mechanism's do NOT function as others do.

Greta's father provided ,what perhaps could be a more telling angle to the entire production in this BBC interview.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-50901789
Mr Thunberg said his daughter had struggled with depression for "three or four years" before she began her school strike.

"She stopped talking... she stopped going to school," he said.

He added that it was the "ultimate nightmare for a parent" when Greta began refusing to eat.

To help her get better, Mr Thunberg spent more time with Greta and her younger sister, Beata, at their home in Sweden. Greta's mother, opera singer and former Eurovision Song Contest participant Malena Ernman, cancelled contracts so the whole family could be together.

So,are we to rule out the role/s Depression can play,in shaping a 12 year old child's perceptions of life and the broader World ?

Factor in the diagnosis of Aspbergers at around the same age,and surely even casual observers, must be allowed to make conclusions other than what, the now Multi-National Thunberg cause, wish us to embrace ?

As for Greta herself being the driving force behind the crusade, this may not be as clear as now being portrayed...
Over the next few years they began discussing and researching climate change, with Greta becoming increasingly passionate about tackling the issue.

As "very active" human rights advocates, Greta accused her parents of being "huge hypocrites", Mr Thunberg said.

"Greta said: 'Whose human rights are you standing up for?', since we were not taking this climate issue seriously," he explained.

He said Greta got "energy" from her parents' changes in behaviour to become more environmentally friendly - such as her mother choosing not to travel by aeroplane and her father becoming vegan.

For me,this indicates a certain shaping or even grooming of a somewhat "differently" structured young mind, and that does not sit comfortably with me personally.

To broadly accuse those who do NOT agree with the Thunberg crusade as "Idiots" may well offer you some sense of superiority, but believe me,watching how the now Adult,Greta Thunberg has had her "stolen Childhood" further adjusted and perhaps permanently altered makes me very very Sad...nothing more just Sad. :(

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

The travel restrictions should remain in place indefinitely to mitigate climate change. The government should only let businesses with good climate credentials reopen in a few months after the lockdown. The war on climate change can be tied into the war on coronavirus.

Not enough that you wind up people on the Covid threads, you wish to start the same nonsense here. Better you go for a walk and see the good in life, instead of trying to make others I dare to say as miserable as you.
