    That can’t be true.

I know all head chefs and not one of them has a nephew.

Although, you could be his niece, I suppose.

Was that supposed to be funny?

Had a fúcker cycling towards me on a narrow footpath this afternoon expecting me to step off on to the road, WTF! Gave me a filthy look as he moved onto the road less than 2m in front of me. Lucky for him that I was in such a calm mood. Normally I'd have blown a gasket.

I hit one a shoulder the first week of the lockdown, I was in no mood to step off, bit rash and regretted it immediately, but as nothing followed on said nothing and felt a bit Clint Eastwood, stress relief, lol.

Jesus people would believe anything. It must be awful to be so gullible with all the misinformation floating around these days!

We expect poor decisions from politicians anyway but this time their failures have been literally fatal.

You can't hold Leo or other politicians responsible for all the deaths. Many of the deaths seem to have been 80 year olds who died of upper respiratory tract infections.

Are we waiting on a vaccine or an elixir that grants immortality?

It will be interesting to compare the overall mortality rates of 2020 to 2019, 2018, 2017 etc.

Could they not arrange for these briefings to be held earlier in the day, so we can get the main highlights in the evening bulletins.

Pubs closed til September 1st apparently

I'd believe that, any public gathering will be limited for a many months yet. They'll be no All Ireland this year, etc. etc.

I wonder if they'll just give the Sam McGuire to Dublin anyway?

Or maybe have a show called Stats of the Day later in the evening...come up with a catchy theme tune and have Gary Linekar present since he's at a loose end.

It suggests to me a lack of organisation and a certain level of chaos.

Full highlights are on Match of the Day after, if you do not want to know the final score look away now.

Completly, 100%. I’ve spoken with friends and a family member about it and everyone is just saying how great they feel, energy levels top notch, relaxed, rested, enjoying going for walks, focusing on overall heath, each other and doing the kinds of things we often don’t have the energy for normally as we have been conditioned to give so much more of ourselves both physically and emotionally to corporations that are over and above the agreement with them...

+100 too. When all this is over, we definitely need to reevaluate the way we live our lives. Getting up early in the morning, to earn a wage that doesn't even pay a mortgage, never mind a rent. Things have definitely slowed down and more calmer.

    Two news headlines today.

Headline 1. Government say the spread of covid 19 is under control

Headline 2. Spread of covid 19 in nursing homes is out of control and a national emergency

    And they say Trump bullsh*ts!

Just give up,its like banging your head against a wall.

The Germans visited Ireland in the 40s on a u-boat. They docked in Donegal and were greeted by the locals who took them all the way down and back to Galway on a piss up.
The following message was sent back to Germany from the uboat

"The Irish are willing to die for their country but not willing to fight for it"

On a positive spin,i think leo and co are the best people to get what is left of the economy going again.
