The CDC test kit that ostensibly identifies SARS-COV-2 originally used 3 genetic makers (N1, N2, N3). The N3 marker was removed and the N1 primers are not homologous to targets. Now CDC says results don’t have to be confirmed

    Thanks.

Am I right in thinking the number of tests being taken is gone way up?

A 30 year old :( we aren’t doing great here 1000 new cases is that not the equivalent of italy having 10000 a day

Have to say I expected the numbers to start dropping by now. Just shows how contagious this thing is.

5.6% growth excluding the German cases as they're older.

When it goes over 5 days for the test results to come back any negative results are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike at that stage.

Incorrect, if you die and the result is unknown at time of death/buriel, your more than likely not included in the death rates....
We only include deaths who have tested positive.

That's 3 under 34 that have died - but the media don't go on about that do they?

Nearly half of those are delayed test results from Germany. Not reflective of an actual daily figure.
