If I wanted a good bike I'd go with a Wattbike or a Concept2 BikeErg.
If they are out of price range, i'd look at an assault bike or an rogue echo

You get what you pay for.
If you want to spend 300, go into elverys and pick one after tryign it out.

How expensive they are is all relative..I bought a C2 rower and an echo assault bike on recommendations I got here a few years back.

Expensive yes but right now they're priceless.
