Does anyone know of a good bricks and mortar supplier of water rowing machines? I ordered one online a few weeks ago, and the supplier keeps moving the delivery date out.

    Thanks!

Sorry for reviving an old thread but why the concept 2 over a water rower?

Sorry for reviving an old thread but why the concept 2 over a water rower?

Concept 2 is the gold standard.

I've tried the water rower but not enough to give it a thorough review. Two things that stood out: more stress on the lower back with the water rower and the computer component was a lot more basic. If I was getting one, I'd want to have more options for workouts, recording/tracking etc.

Would likely hold it's value a lot longer as well for resale down the line

Concept 2 is a great machine, I use it on a regular basis and the workout is fantastic, check out some videos on the different styles you can incorporate

There are some second hand concept 2 on done deal for €800.

I heard the water rowers are much quieter machines than the concept 2, any experience of this?

Yeah they're definitely quieter. Not quiet as such but definitely a lot quieter.

Definitely one piece of kit I'd have loved. I can't use it anymore but I loved the C2. Well...it was a bit like Stockholm Syndrome

Why can't you use it anymore, did it break? How do you think they cope with usage, wear & tear.

Oh, no I can't use it because I have a hip problem and there are degrees of hip flexion that cause a problem and I started feeling soreness in my hip for too long after a row. C2 is pretty robust.

There’s one in my gym that gets a fair beating from rowers and gaa players and it copes very well
