Half of the Dáil are millionaires...are they making the same gesture?

Using that logic 25% of them are in SF. What gestures are they making?

No you will see all SF TD’s do the same and all use the same generic letter because the part has to stay relevant and this is their way , all hand it back then Mary Lou will come out of her isolation and and shout from the roof tops about how her party have helped the cause by giving back the money . Why don’t they sell all the Georgian property around Dublin they have and and down grade to a more socialist office space. They seen Leo scored some points by doing the one day so this is how they come back at that.

Why don't all FG TD's go help the HSE? There's plenty of other civil servants being redeployed to to do tracing etc? Why don't fine Gael sell their property?

He isn't 'doing' his job though...there is stuff he could be doing.

And 24,000 ex health care worker have already expressed an interest in returning to work.

Are they back and working? Has government removed all the hindrances to them getting back?

Have they f***, 'Get the photo...get the photo at any cost'.

    snip

What other stuff could he be doing? Batch testing PPE in China?

Anyway, the press don't have to cover him - maybe suggest that the press limit their coverage, if you think it's an issue.

Leo really has the shinners triggered today. Multiple threads of teeth gnashing. He must be doing something right :D

Most winding seems to be people froathing at the mouth over Eoin O'Broin giving back wages to the exchequer. Seen many SF folk thanking Leo.

No need, don't the 101st Airborne to depose Leo just SF plus 44 like-minded TDs, call a vote and Varadkar will have even more time to help out with Covid-19.

Question is, why can't SF wrangle the votes?

No, vote the caretaker government out, by you know voting for a government.... :D:D

How has he blocked the idea - FG are the third largest party by vote share and he only controls 35 of 160 TDs.

That leaves 125 - even if he was dead against it, how could Varadkar possibly stop it from happening?

He can't. This is all the shinners have right now. Leo is flying it. FG couldn't be coming out of this better. And all after 'losing' the election to SF. Behind it all, the provos are raging.

    Why don't SF?

It looks like when it comes to land, SF TDs are doing alright.

FG'ers may be part of the landlord class, but it looks like they're behind the door when it comes to land

What deos the upright reading measure??

Graph makes no sense without reading

All that’s going to happen with SF TD’s giving to money back , protection rackets will up the price , the various “businesses “ they are involved in will up the price and the dealers will have to pay an extra tax to deal on that patch . They will get the money back .

Given the man's background I doubt he is short of money. When gov changes we will at the end of the day be swapping a Michaels boy for a Blackrock boy in the department of housing. And a trinity apartment owning graduate for a possible trinity town house owning graduate as taoiseach. Plenty of spin from either side but it all the same.

The chart is nomralised to reflect party size - the point being that an SF TD has a higher probaility of being a land-owner than an FG or FF TD.

Yes, yes, yes......there will be whataboutery, obfuscation and distraction - so you can take it as read that your objections have been noted.

They don’t claim to be socialist

They seem to be socialist when it suits them. Did they no mention we're all in this together the last few weeks? Or does that not include financial measures? Maybe they should have put a little disclaimer, a little * highlighting if that was the case.

Be interesting to see if SF jumps on the bandwagon of wearing masks as a way of getting their voice into the news cycle. ( note wearing masks may be the correct thing but we need to wait for the WHO )

Stephen Donnelley FF was on some news program at the weekend vainly trying to make himself relevant via some mumble about supporting nursing homes which was already happening anyway.

Politics in Ireland is absurd sometimes.

A graph with only 1 reading is pointless...quite why you wish to argue otherwise,is all on you

It would depend if you were asking last month or this month. We have just incinerated our economy.:(

One thing about land,is irish farmers arent tied to econmic reality, when it comes to prices

    Its vastly over-priced

Well you mentioned that FG sell their property wihtout putting up a link - how much, in value terms, do FG own?

If you find that out, then the data on SF TD's landholdings are probably in the same dataset.

Maybe SF could divert a portion of the Hampton bequest to support HSE workers, or those charitable bodies who directly support the HSE?

Not all of it, of course, but if they donated €1m, that would still leave them with €3m and not adversely affect their position as the richest political party in Ireland.

Not really, if, as is the case, it represents a normalisation of the dataset to allow meaningful inter-comparison between groups - normalisation is a failry basic and straightforward statistical tool.

Anyway, take it up with the journal.ie - it's their graph, not mine.

Yes a graph that isnt calibrated is meaningless :pac: (seriously like, read what your saying)

Seems shinnernomics and use of misinfo is contagious :D

    Eh?

Loads of graphs aren't "calibrated" whatever that means.

The whole of calculus as applied to economic functions or process dynamics is pretty much based on what you might call "uncalibrated"
