Are you saying the HSE are happy with the situation.

Sh1t happens, throwing your toys out of the pram because some items are unsuitable is pathetic.

Don't be ridiculous. It's not some it's 30% according to various reports. Even if it was 3% being unsuitable it's outrageous.

But yeah tell the front line heros sh1t happens

The dettol will damage the masks filter. You could just keep the mask in a bag for a week as any virus on it would die after a few days

What are you on about ?? Nobody is posting bs.

It's all been covered in the press conference that is on at the moment.

If you'd been listening to it you'd know

Eh you can't assume everyone posting here is doing the same thing as you are. Try not to post inaccurate information in future.

Don’t we have a company in the south that’s been making masks and sending them to China? I’m sure I’ve read that on one of these threads. I would have requisitioned those masks for use in Ireland. That’s one thing.
There's a company in Limerick who've trebled production and are/will be supplying the HSE. Reid mentioned it.

Todays' world is full of people who like to be seen to say the right things. But what are they really like as people?

They present an image. But strip a lot of the self righteous posters of their veneer and I'd like to see what they are like in the real world. How they treat people, are they caring or selfish. Where the heart lies.

Oh Jesus bleedin Christ man, put a fcukin sock in it.

I don't work in health care or product procurement for the industry so my advice wouldn't be of assistance to anyone.

The HSE have people who are paid well for that and it's literally their job to make sure we have the best of gear.

You could do that and hope the Chinese government don't requisition all other PPE that we have on order with Chinese suppliers.

after back from shopping i shower and clothes are put into wash at 65C.. with more Dettol +clothes deterrent. also have dettol wipes in car. i also wear gloves to remind myself to STOP touching my face.
ALL food is all wiped down biggest issue is shopping bag handles(for me).. normally food shop takes 40 min(out to shop, back and put stuff away) now whole ordeal takes close too 2hrs or more...

    1. Under what specific legislation would you have seized private property?
    2. Can you envisage any negative consequences for the supply of other PPE or other equipment from such a move?

The problem with the internet is that there's always someone who thinks they have better answers than the teams of professionals who do this stuff for a living.

If we block exporting medical equipment to countries what happens if we need to import other equipment from those countries?

Thankfully I can work from home. Have observed all the restrictions so far.

When we rel allowed to go out and about again I won't be wearing a mask on a daily basis, like they do in the East. Not sure if they wear it for air pollution or infections.

If there is a need to wear a make I will happily stay home.

Is anyone planning to regularly wear a mask from here on out?

I think of there's any normalcy coming back for our summer, and I will probably more than likely continue with these measures avoiding crowds, and public transport. If I take a notion to go out, I probably will wear a mask. I have plans to make a DIY mask. I have a few wet bags made from a PUL fabric. It's a fabric that's is supposed to be breathable, waterproof, and it's used in babies cloth nappies. I will reuse some of them bags and sew a mask with that fabric as an outer layer.

HSE are the people you are looking at not RTE. Easily confused are you?

Its an RTE brainstorm article, its their own bright idea for an article not just relaying info. They do mention the HSE and WHO.

Exactly, you haven't a clue, yet you are throwing your toys out of the pram every 5 minutes.

I have worked in global supply chains and when you try and do something in 10 days in a volatile market place instead of your normal 6 months, sh1t always happens.

They are doing a pretty good job of this, with 300 flights you can sure that by flight 10 everything that comes in will be exactly what is needed.

You clearly have no understanding of what is involved in this.
