    Nothing here, with AIB.

Dropped form into my local office on March 19th.

Still nothing bank of Ireland, posted 18th March

With AIB. Posted form on 22 Mar. Heard nothing and received nothing as of yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,505 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

Saw online that AIB ones are generally between 3-5am :( Fingers crossed.

3 more hours won't bother me considering I applied on March 16th!

My wages usually appear at about 4.30am so hopefully this is the same.

I genuinely thought that I would have been entitled to two weeks payment considering my last day of work was March 15th.
I posted my application on the 18th.
    Not to be unfortunately

I applied same day and received nothing last week. Got a call last Monday to confirm my reason for unemployment and nothing since.

Yup, getting pretty annoyed about it now. Oh well, alot worse things going on!

A co-worker also applied same day, and got his payment last week, if they get an extra weeks pay for basically slow processing I'll be rightly pi's*ed off!

I'm guessing what will happen is this will be week one for us and week two for others. It doesn't end on a specific date like, it's a 6 week payment.

It's a 12 week payment, but what if we return to work in less than 12 weeks?

They won't. Everything will be backdated.

I'd say cross that bridge when it comes.

In a way this would work out better. It would mean we would get an 'extra' payment at the end which would be handy for tiding me over until I get paid my actual wages.
If/when I go back to work i could be waiting up to a month for pay day (paid monthly like a lot of others) and it's very hard to transition from weekly to monthly payments.

There is an option online to close the claim.

    Not the point whatsoever.

    What is the point so?

If individuals take up or go back to work while they are receiving the payment they can close the claim. If the pandemic is over within 12 weeks I'm sure the department of social protection will cease the payment and people will either go back to work or can apply for a jobseekers payment if their job is gone. Its going to be paid weekly so it's not like anyone will be getting a lump sum of 12x€350

    Again, not the point.

When exactly would I get the extra €350 my colleague gets?

Thank you! If I can ask one more question :)

To clarify, I can apply for jobseekers even if 12 weeks later I end up returning to my previous job?

I would qualify for the spouse/dependant child so maybe I should go that route?

Remember if get WFP and you claim jobseekers WFP would immediately stop, if you just claim the covid19 emergency payment you will still get WFP. (just saying might not apply to you of course).

I dont know. I'm in the same boat as you, I have been out of work for 2 weeks and received a not back dated payment this evening. I would guess like someone else said we will be getting all our payments a week later and if you are have been out of work for 6 weeks as an example you will get 6 payments but your last payment will be a week later than your colleagues.

Or they could just randomly pay the extra payment which wouldn't surprise me either! I

I guess right now they are focusing on getting A payment to everyone and will sort thr details/back pay in due course.

Some of the payments according to posts on here are slow, did most people apply by post or dropped into office, would the process be quicker on line?

Yeah certainly recommend doing it online, I would have except it wasn't an option when I applied.

Hey guys recently returned back from Canada due to the current situation going on, I left in November and had been in full time employment for about 3 years before that.

Any idea of what I’m entitled to and the avenues I should go down? Would I be best off just applying for jobseekers and seeing how I get on? I’m fearful i May be left to the side due to processing time of this.

I had applied for the covoid19 pandemic form and my local welfare office had told me (mid March) I would be eligible but upon further research by myself today and yesterday I have realised I am in no way entitled to this.

The good news is "the peak" has passed or is about to with processing the claims.

They have pulled in staff from all over the place so should be able to deal with any new claims reasonably quickly.
