Jesus christ what is peoples obsession with the jogs and runs. They can f*ckin wait.

No they can't, it's an addiction! If you're hooked you'd run around your garden.

So basically we've got so many people who are stupid and ignorant and can't stick to the simple rule of social distancing.

2km should be plenty 4km round trip?

Is it 2km as the crow flies?

What is the point in everyone staying inside for weeks if we are still allowing flights to land from virus hotspots?

It's not a lockdown, people will still go out, fines won't be payed, stations will be full in a day if guards start detaining people.

Why are experienced journalists using this ridiculous term.

    This isn't a lockdown.

Show on Channel 4 just now "Coronavirus: can we avoid it?" talking about contacts we make through the day at work, in shops, transport etc. Sure it's still relevant for many people, on Channel 4 + 1 now.

2km is generous enough. You can still do a 12km run without being more that 2km from your house. So not that much change for me really

If you have a perfect ring around your house maybe.

Bit slow at the 'containment' but maybe that was deliberate? Letting people return and infect others. But otherwise, putting on a solid face. Anyone criticising Harris is just a vacuous fool at this point.

Simon Harris is a man who tries to put out fires, this is just another example.

It is why we had a general election because the government was going to lose a vote of confidence in him.

    No people at the beaches.
And yet, no prob having people in non essential offices, building sites, canteens, etc.
    It's all just for show.

    They are all banned

Things are getting worse so it is reactive.

They gave society a chance to be responsible. And it failed

I know everyone is cranky and fed up but I really feel like Tony Holohan is doing a good job. He speaks very clearly and there doesn't seem to be any rubbish with him. I feel like I can trust what he is saying.

Yeh I think the last few weeks have been about making the least worse decisions in a manner that allows the population to get used to what needs to be done. I’m sure people could look over it and find fault but given this is a crisis that most countries in the world are struggling to manage, its completely disingenuous to hold our government to a higher level with no meaningful benchmark. Lots of people doing the equivalent of an old man shouting at clouds.

    Serious question:

Can I still walk the dog? Is it only to 2km?

walk 2km in one direction, turn around, walk 4km in the other direction, and then walk back, that's an 8 km walk, enough to knacker most dogs (and you're only passing any house twice along the way so the neighbours won't think you're taking the p1ss)

"Has there ever been an organisation in human history that is dedicated, with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth?"

In future Leo just needs to get his arsé into the news studio and explain what's happening instead of confusing the whole country with this staged panto.

He then gets asked a list of coherent questions by one person and he answers.

Holohan speaks fluently and thinks cogently.

    Dunphy reference ?

Do you need a scenic circle for your run? People are dead
    , sacrifice your perfect run.

    This is an honest question...

If this was 1990 and there was no social media... would corona virus be a mere footnote on Page 11 of a newspaper??

Why are they not closing the f*cking airports? Shut the place down.

Dead right, we don't need any more PPE or other daft essential equipment flown in. Socks wrapped around the faces of our medics is good enough for them and their notions.

Jesus Christ, the stats are readily available as to how it's being passed on, have a read.
