8 clusters in nursing homes is unacceptable. People should have been more careful. That's the one thing you cannot let happen.

See, that's where you have it all wrong. It's not "everyone's child is more important than the next", it's "EVERYONE is more important than money".

    Not to some obviously

    Only a 14% increase

But that death figure is a worry

    16.3% it's big enough.

I heard from a relative in the HSE that the number in Waterford is being heavily under-reported.

10 in 1 day is a big increase and shows we are way behind on testing

It's sad about the deaths but I do not see it shows that we're behind on testing?

But it shows how serious this is and any piece of scum that spits or coughs at anyone should have a minimum sentence applied
I read press from several Countries.
Came across a case in Belgium of a guy spreading saliva on a rail on the Tube, and a case in Italy of a guy spitting on fruit/veg in a supermarket.
Ireland is the only Country in which I have read of people spitting and coughing on other people.

New cases aren’t going up that much

255 is not a figure to be taken lightly. Although in fairness the rate of increase isn't exponential.

    Apologies.

It’s really not that big though.
If we keep it under 20% we’re on course for our curve to plateau in the medium term

RIP to the ten people who have died

I've been in China throughout this whole thing, and what I keep thinking of is when I was a young lad I remember the campaigns about 1) preventing drink driving and 2) wearing your seatbelt while driving. Both of these things became social issues for the greater good, and eventually, from being a norm, there was a social stigma attached to flouting these laws.

There's already huge social pressure and official guidance to stay home as much as possible. Whether you want to call it a "campaign" or not.

But normal interaction between human beings can't be stigmatised indefinitely.

Blame the general public for not isolating. Staff have to go in.

    And that’s the important thing.
As long as it doesn’t get exponential we are doing okay

We need people to stay the f inside!

Your man Tony gives a bunch of words of condolences. 2nd reporter up. Do you have any words of Condolence you want to share with the families?

    They have patience of saints.

Yes, I would. The selfishness of thinking your life is of greater value than society in general is absurd.

It's not society you are talking about though... you are talking about MONEY!

Money can't buy you integrity. But you can give away your integrity for money!

And if they're positive but asymptomatic, what can you do?

No, he said civil society and economy from his first post.

Then everyone who replied to him chose to pretend he only said economy.
