Just out of curiosity how much can someone make on views on Youtube based on his views per day?

    Anyone know?

My shows are €80 for 5 minutes.

When they say “had no underlying medical condition” does that mean they had no known condition or it’s confirmed that they had none in the hospital?

I wonder do at least some of the younger people who have died have conditions they didn’t know about.

500k views: between $ 375 to $ 1000 according to google, so a fair bit if he monetised it, considering he is doing 2 videos a day and they get between 200k and 500k each. Plus his viewer demographic is probably at the higher end than a lot of channels which just have kids watching.

How would you feel if the Philippines sent planes over to Ireland to fly back nurses, or other nationalities?

Hospitals, nursing homes - there are thousands of non Irish working in the healthcare in Ireland- would you be happy for these to go back to their own country and leave us?

The independent said it was 65 Irish doctors, and some were in senior positions.
According to the article they're all ready and have quit their jobs!

I don't think anyone would want all of the non Irish working in healthcare to quit their jobs and leave the country in this crisis, but if they've quit and want to go back to their own country then i'd understand that.

I think he was talking about mental health problems people with high anxiety and people in isolation with there abuser. I am agreeing with you on your last line

I'm also talking about people who die as a result of a tanking economy. Poverty is the biggest indicator of early death. I get that this illness has the potential to be serious but we were never going to be Italy or Spain. At the start it was hard to not see is being like thos countries but I think when we stand back we realise there many reasons why we won't be.

Should we seriously not just consider the cocoon strategy for at risk groups. Anyone in this group should keep themselves isolated. Leave everybody else get back to some normality, perhaps people who can work from home continue to do so. But get the kids back to school.

Well it forces me outta the workforce so hope the government provide good compensation for it.

Do you mean like a heart defect? That's quite possible

He has a Paypal donation option below the videos so monetised in a way.

Impossible to know , think the safety blanket of underlying conditions or younger is being ripped away. Odds are better if u don't have underlying conditions or younger but u can still die.

I don't know. I don't live in NY. What has the demand of ventilators in New York have to do with the fact that you need to be specially trained nurse to mind a patient on a ventilator?
But also, what is your opinion on vasopressors? How do you manage them? How do you manage ventilator associated infections?

We need more staff properly trained to use them. That is the main limiting factor. Not availability of ventilators.

We need both. And experienced staff brought out of retirement.

Italy got next to no notice about the ventilator shortage.

We won't be able to use that excuse.

    Stay the fuuck inside.

Yes but many young people die of the flu every year and yes I know this is not the same as the flu but if we were to use the logic of someone aged 21 dying is a reason to shut down the country then we should do it for the flu.

All I'm saying is. Ireland is different to the countries that have a higher populations and population densities. We have a better chance of controlling this anyway. Most people who are outside the risk group will be fine with this illness. Anyone who normally is a candidate for a flu jab should be told to self isolate everybody else should go back to normal.

Love to see your qualification and data on this. Suck it up people had to go through TB outbreaks and other illnesses and a world war and get through it. You will 2

It might or might not but unless things get really bad we are fairly likely to see some restrictions eased in April. May/June is a reasonable target for all of it to return to a level of normality.

You will be able to go nowhere (and I included the USA) for the rest of the year sorry to say you have to cancel that foreign holiday. Don't worry so will everybody else

I think this the problem with taking an algorithmic approach. Computer says no.
Some people will unfortunately go along with it until it's too late.

Spain thought they'd never be like Italy. The Uk who are next in line also. Or the US

Given that we have at the moment and had until recently direct flights to and from all these countries with no checks at our airports and no mandatory isolation for those coming from there, it seems likely we could be as bad as them two weeks from now.

How much notice would doctors need to give?
