He claims to be 'evidence based' but in several of his videos starts pulling the likes of R0 numbers out of his arse.

In short, he isn't worth a damn listening to. At best he just regurgitates simple facts and figures you can get your own hands on. The rest is pure conjecture from a guy who is not an epidemiologist or similar.

I think wel will be ok. Our numbers aren't to bad and that's without the effect of social distancing coming into play. I think in 2-3 months from now the number of dead will be lower than the flu.

Machines are being prioritised for younger patients, because they don't have enough of them to go around.

We're already running out of PPE, and this thing has only just started for us!

If PPE can run low at this point, I have no doubt we could run out of ventilators or other important equipment too. We already know this, as ICU doctors have said it in recent weeks!

That’s exactly why the best thing that any of us in high risk categories can do is to hide away from the world as much as we can. No one wants to chose who lives and who dies but that’s exactly what will happen if the virus gets out of control and our health services are overwhelmed. That’s not trying to be miserable, more trying to be realistic.

yeah not a fan of that guy at all. he's fine when he stays in his lane: basic hygiene and introductory level biology, but when he gets into epidemiology he's completely out of his depth and misinterprets data constantly. aside from that, most of his videos are just reading out news headlines and figures.

i also have little respect for anyone in the medical field who calls themselves a doctor who isn't actually a medical doctor. he's a nurse with a PhD. Two VERY different things.

So NI has only 209 confirmed case compared to Ireland 1,329 case (Before today numbers in REP), but they have more deaths than us....

They are only testing 40 a day up until this point, so it goes to show that the level of testing is crucial to understanding the numbers and spread.

Wales have 628 confirmed cases, with 22 deaths!!

He’s a hell of a lot better than some of the experts here and he has given a lot of very accurate information, he conveys messages from the most affected areas as he gets emails directly from the frontline of Italy etc.

He is independent, has no agenda or seek personal gain. His videos don’t even had ads enabled Nd he could be making a nice chunk of money off that with youtube You won’t see any HSE manager or Irish politician criticise the UK or US approach and he does both.

Like everything in the last few weeks related to this it’s important to note that things change quickly and what’s relevant today is wrong tomorrow.

I wouldn’t dismiss him like you have, I do t take it all as gospel, but he’s worth listening to.
